    Breathing Overhead BB Press?

I can't get the breathing right on the standing overhead press. I try to take a deep breath at the bottom, then lift and breath out at the top, but then I have to breath in at the top again. This makes me feel that I lose a bit of tension or core support in a possibly dangerous position.

Holding my breath until I am down at the bottom again leaves me out of breath by the 5th rep. I don't want to lower the bar too fast and lose that part of the workout.

Anyone have a suggestion to fix this? I usually end up breathing all over the place by the 5th set of 5x5 and lose a lot of power.

Merry Christmas from a cold Norway with sunshine and minus 10c

I usually just take a gulp of air as the bar rests at the bottom, expanding my chest and looking forward. I hold the air in my chest as I press up, keeping my eyes on the bar as it travels upward. As I come to the top, I exhale. Then, I inhale as I'm lowering the bar to begin the next rep.

    Merry Christmas.
    Lift long and prosper.

This is how I do it as well. I am not to the point where the weight is heavy enough to really think about it though. Here is a quote for breathing in the OH Press:
Take a big breath at the bottom, and do as many reps as you can with good form. Breathe out when you need at the top or at the bottom (top is better but tricky).
Was 280+ at the beginning of 2019 (highest recorded weight is 290 on Dec 13, 2018).
