To all those who want to lose weight, cutting out simple things like honey from your tea can be very efficient in losing weight.
I was on a diet eating very minimal carbs but still added honey/sugar in my coffee. I was losing 2-3lbs/week
I then stopped and replaced it with sweetners and them boom! I lost 4.5lbs that week I started.
Remember guys nutrition is key, and carbs is main cause of weight gain

What, you don't drink 8 mug of coffee every day and use about 6 tsp of sugar each time? The sentiment should be that coffee can have calories often not counted in diets. Now go drink your 3 Starbucks caffe latte (venti size) so you can start gaining 1.5 lbs a week (~240 calories each btw).

If you believe whatever you're doing is working for you, keep at it. We're just trying to prevent wrong information from being spread. Unless someone is using 750 calories a day worth of sugar in their coffee, they just aren't going lose 1.5 pounds a week by drinking their coffee black. Yes, it is true that people do urinate ketone bodies when in a state of ketosis, but to say they're shedding 1.5 pounds worth just by cutting out sugar in coffee is just plain ridiculous.

I am not a brick yet, but someday I will be that strong. The problem is that you are not eating enough and it is making you not think straight. Since you are consistently losing 4.5 lbs a week I assume you are eating about 500-600 calories a day. After all, 1 week is apparently considered consistent in your biology class and enough for a significant p number.

I get it, you lost 2-3 pounds a week running keto, then you cut out sugar from your coffee and lost 4.5 pounds that week causing you to believe you lost 1.5 pounds of fat by cutting out sugar. What we're trying to tell you is that is absurdly wrong. What you lost was mostly water weight, believe us or not, it's up to you. Just don't mislead people into thinking they can lose 1.5 a week by cutting out sugar from their coffee, if it was that easy, we wouldn't have an obesity problem in society.

thats precisely the point. Cut out the coffee flavored koolaid drink and you cut a bunch of sugar ie carbs ie energy ie calories = larger energy deficit = larger energy stores used = larger weight loss. Add more activity = larger energy deficit...etc etc.
Also, the fact that your title says 1.5/wk and then goes on to says that the week you cut out sugar you lost 4.5lbs makes it sound like this is the first week this has happened. So I have 2 questions. How long have you actually been cutting total? and how long ago did you decide to cut out sugar?
