For the first time in my life I can honestly say I am disgusted with the responses I've been seeing and hearing about the execution of these poor police officers today not only on the internet such as the appalling tweets people have been writing saying they are glad they are dead, but I also have a friend who lives in Brooklyn and had told me he saw people cheering at the pronouncement of death of these two officers, and even on the misc. Innocent police officers on their lunch break thinking when they woke up they would just go to work, do their job and return home to their families no different than any other day.

How many cases do you hear about police doing wrong a year? 1, 3, 5, even if it were 20 cops a year for doing something bad that is not even remotely close to 1% of the police in this country. There are close to 1 million cops in the USA, and yet some of you(mostly reds) and a small fraction of the population clump all of the police together as these evil power abusing government employed criminals.

If it weren't for our public servants, military personnel, and first responders some of you ungrateful pieces of chit wouldn't be able to post about how much you hate police or think it's stupid how people "throw their lives away" in the military or whatever other bs excuse you come up with. Show some fuking respect. Thought some of your parents might have raised you better. But 99.999% of these "evil cops" signed up for this job to do the right thing, help people, and protect those who can't protect themselves. To those who do support our Law Enforcement in these dark times, I thank you and applaud you for being the good citizens you are, it is people like you that make Police officers want to carry on and continue doing what they do.

This is right around the holidays and the poor families now have to mourn and suffer that their loved ones were assassinated for no fuking reason at all. And some of you have the indecency to say you are HAPPY?

At the end of the day, we have a justice system. When we decide NOT to use that system, then we have problems. It's even worse when innocent people are being killed. Even if someone believes these cops were guilty (of any crime), we can't resort to public opinion to decide whether someone's guilty.

Almost every week someone is being declared "guilty" without trial, without evidence, without anything. People think their opinion matters enough to ruin someone else's life.

I interact with cops DAILY as a commercial driver, and all the encounters are professional and cordial.

If I ever needed to put my hands behind my back, I would A: Listen, and B: if I thought I was wronged, I wouldn't fight back. I would have my day in court.

Ive been a cop for 12 years working for one of the biggest depts in the country, no there is no way near the amount of corruption, 99.99999% of cops want to do their jobs and go home, it is incredibly rare to see legit corruption

Never said that, mouth breather. I'm saying that every issue has a tipping point and we are rapidly approaching the point where people are demanding change in how law enforcement operates. No knock warrants, people getting shot for questionable reasons, cops pretending to be special forces operators, ridiculous property seizures, etc.
