No one should condone this, absolutely no one. Imo, this should be bigger news than the Ferguson, Staten Island incidents although I know it won't be. The cops were killed in cold blood.

and i'm guessing that's what happened
the guy probably had no personal beef with those two officers, he probably targeted them because he hates police... most likely he didn't even know them, they could have been the most friendly cops ever and he just blew them away... just because of what they decided to do for a career
its like that cop who got popped when he was sitting in his patrol car... there's a video of the last thing he did, which was buying a McDonalds meal for a poor child... dudes just living his life and gets blown away on account of some CT who snapped
of course, even if there was a personal beef, then its still one of the worst crimes... but IMO its even worse if the victims were selected based solely on their professionThe muscles i value most are the ones directly surrounding the spine, the hips, the scapula, the femur and the tibia... in that order.
Basically the whole body minus chest and biceps... pretty much the opposite of what your local gym looks like on a typical Monday.

I don't understand why ppl feel the need to pick sides here. There are good cops and there are bad cops. The protesters are upset at the bad ones. This cop killer is clearly a deranged maniac. Some ppl are good, some ppl are bad. This guy was obviously bad.
Innocent lives shouldn't have to die. It doesn't matter if it's a civilian that get choked or cops. Neither acts are justified. It doesn't get more simpler than this.

The NYPD has built such a strong relationship with the community of NY for the past couple of years. Cops getting away with blatant murder (choke hold), immigrant family father shot dead because the police made a mistake, etc, etc.
It was only a matter of time before stuff like this happened. I'm not saying the NYPD deserved it, I'm just saying that they are the ones to blame for not taking appropriate action for obvious police negligence.
Cops should start being cops and work with the community and treat people like people, not target practice. They are fighting a war that they won't win and now have to watch over their backs 24/7.
