    deadlift form issues

    OK finally hit 405 today total PR but when the weight was coming up it came up kinda lopsided. Like the left side came up first and then when I stood all the way up it straightened out. What could that be? Also my quads burn doing deadlifts never my hamstrings Or glutes. Is this normal?

    Your quads should get hit to some degree, but not as much as your hamstrings. You might be sitting too low in the starting position, so when you stand up, you're essentially doing a modified squat.

    probably the PR effect. when you do a true PR, form will not be perfect. if form is perfect it's not a true PR. body likely said 'f this is heavy' and did what it had to do to stand up with it...

    you probly had your grip off a little that makes a big difference when it gets heavy. get centerd with the bar look strait up in front of you and pull. the mirror can mess you up as well.

    Yes my grip slipped bad. And my hips are relatively high. I dont squat down to low... But I repped out 315 my quads were burning and my hamstrings not much. But when was done I def felt it but not during it.

    When I was doing conventional DL I can't say that my hamstrings were burning that much, it's only when I started using sumo stance that I really felt it. RDLs are the real hamstring killers though
