This logic is stupid brah. Our GOVERNMENT does not negotiate with terrorists. A privately owned company made a decision for PR. Had something happened and people lost their lives Sony would be perceived as having blood on their hands.
This thread reminds me of people who cry "blha blah freedom of speech blah blah" when some duck dynasty guy gets fired by his employer.
In b4 negs, Sony made the logical choice. Get over it *******s.

Idk how I feel about all of this
I'm happy because I hate Seth Rogen with a passion but it's also unnerving how easily N.Korea shut down one of the most powerful entities in the USA
I'm starting to think NKorea isn't as poverty as what we are lead to believe. Watching those N Korean military ex exercises reminded me of nazi Germany, combined with how Kim Jung un and his family are perceived as Gods over there and how they are avid believers of keeping their bloodlines pure, that whole country scares the fuk out of me

"It would seem that most mainstream news outlets are trying to start a media frenzy by feeding people false information and half quotes. The release of the film has NOT been cancelled, as those who bothered to read Sony's original statement already know. The film has merely been delayed until after the holiday season."

I don't know why people keep talking about it like its the US government who's giving in to their demands. Its private business owners who don't want the liability if something actually did happen.
"Fear is something that we create in our own minds. Fear could be like fire. You can use it to heat you up, keep you warm, cook your food. There are so many things you can use it for. But if you allow it to go out of control, it will destroy you and everything around you." -Mike Tyson

Hopefully another hacker group hacks Sony and releases this movie so we can all watch it. That would put Sony in an interesting pickle.

not surprising, the millions they made from this movie would not have changed anything....Its a PR nightmare for Sony.
-They have now burnt a ton of bridges with actors/directors from the leaks.
-A few of there movies are released on the web
-Script leaks including the new James Bond movie. We know for certain what happens in it.
-One of the biggest franchise they own - Spiderman is up sh!t creek and the email leaks have shown they have no idea what to do with this franchise.
-Leak of employee data etc
This is after all the issues Sony Entertainment has with a huge loss of income.

Sony Pictures is separate from SONY, it's a subsidiary of a subsidiary !! and it is an american company, a California studio..

SPE's global operations encompass motion picture production, acquisition and distribution; television production, acquisition and distribution; television networks; digital content creation and distribution; operation of studio facilities; and development of new entertainment products, services and technologies."

From a business point of view, I can understand why all the major cinemas in the US pulled the movie. The risks FAR outweighed the benefits. Let's be honest, the movie sucked and wasn't gonna bring in any money, that's why they decided not to show it.
brb show the the movie and something bad happens at one of the movie theatre.
brb cinema company is faced with several lawsuits and goes bankrupt as a result.
Take all that risk for what? For a movie that was gonna flop anyways?Yahweh is a man of war. Yahweh is his name. - Exodus 15:3

i hate how seth rogan and everyone bitching about this whole fiasco are so naive to think that making a movie about assassinating a current world leader isn't gonna piss them off. im not saying they're gonna try and nuke us over a silly movie but it's like...how the fuk did you expect north korea to react?
