Lexen XXX Columbus, Ohio - Meet Results

Best meet ever to date. Everything was sandbagged to the max. Went 9 for 9 for the first time.

Didn't end up making weight. I was off by 2 lbs (134) but didn't want to bother trying to cut extra as I was already extremely dehydrated and just wanted to eat something. Worked out to my advantage in the end though despite having to lift in the heavier weight class.


SQUATS

Opener: 295. Cake.

2nd: 315. Easy. 10 lb. PR.

3rd: 330. Easy 25 lb. PR. Almost missed my attempt because the announcer pronounced my name so wrong none of us heard it. My buddy wrapped my knees under pressure and I got under the bar with 4 seconds left on the clock. Dave Tate yelling at me in the background seemed to have helped, haha. Came up really easy.





BENCH

Opener: 140. Cake.

2nd: 150. Same as opener.

3rd: 160. Same as opener. 10 lb. PR


DEADLIFT


Opener: 300. Easy.

2nd: 315. Bit slow off the floor but still smooth.

3rd: 330. Faster than my 1st and 2nd attempt. 15 lb. PR


Reeeeeaally long day though. Nearly 15 hrs. since there were so many lifters.

Walked away with best lifter, 1st in my class, an 820 lb. total (50 lb. PR since June), and a sponsorship from EliteFTS. I don't think the day could have gone any better for me. I think I have a good shot at totaling 890-900 at the Arnold in March!

Good lifting. I’ve had problems hearing the announcer at contests. It can be frustrating. At one contest they had all the lifts, order, and the like projected on a screen. I never understood why such tech is not used at all contests. But good luck at the Arnold.

Not 100% sure. My last name is difficult for most Americans to pronounce, but I haven't had it pronounced that bad in awhile hah.

I did once, and I felt uncomfortable walking around with a weapon, until iI got it hung up on a wall, out of the reach of young relatives.

Nice lifting… I'm fairly certain I pronounced it right during the awards after hearing your husband correct Avery (the guy on the mic all day) a few times. Anywho, if I didn't, I blame cocktails and beer that kept being brought to me during the last flight of dead lifts
