When a reputable source publishes a study with only 1% of people reporting symptoms, I always believe it over the ramblings on the internet making it seem like 80%.
Not saying some people on here didn't have sides though. 1% of a million prescriptions a year is still a lot of people, and mostly vain people take it, so it makes sense for a bodybuilding site to have a lot of references.
Plus "bodybuilders" have sex a lot more often than the average male, they might be more sensitive to noticing their sex drive go down, even a little.

They do suggest that they're possible. Either way the independent studies don't matter on an individual basis. Only my personal experience does. I was in denial about the sides and didn't want to stop it. Didn't realize what it caused until after I dropped it.
If you're so sure about it then I don't see why you're so argumentative. Who are you trying to convince? Everyone should try it for themselves. I am sure that permanent side effects are extremely rare.

I don't think anyone should be scared to try it. It seems nearly everyone's side effects go away. However, saying that well documented side effects (that are common sense scientifically. you're inhibiting the production of a sex hormone) are placebo is stupid as sh*t. I couldn't get a boner without manual stimulation and a lot of effort sometimes. A little after dropping it I was getting spontaneous rock hard boners just thinking about sex. I didn't pay attention to it before starting the drug so I wasn't sure how effortlessly I should be able to get them normally.
I wasn't paranoid about it either. Like you I read that only 1-2% get it and so I figured just old or sick people would get them.

Just ordered some Fin last week, waiting for it to come in the mail
I'm extremely scared of side effects, but I don't think they're as common as people make it out to be. So many people are on Fin and only the bad cases talk about it. I've never told a single person that I use Minoxidil because it's just not something I talk about.
Gonna take .5 mg and stick with that. I may even do .25 mg for a month and see how it effects me.

Cheap as fuk actually. If you buy generic proscar and cut the pill into 4ths, you can get a 1.25mg dose per day for only 10 bucks a month.
Sounds poverty bit just as effective, and doctors will OK this method.
You can get it online. Obviously some risk because online pharmacy risk and chit, but this is what I did. Had decent results with some temple regrowth, but I wasn't really balding in the first place. No sides either
inhousepharmacy.vu
I used to use other in house site but fukin credit card companies blocked payment unless you email a prescription. Now you need an echeck. Stuff is still legit though.Last edited by Internship; 12-09-2014 at 01:40 PM.

in every independent study done, the placebo group had reported just as many side effects as the group actually taking fin. which was always around 2-3% if i recall, could be off on that number though.
I repeat, 2-3% percent of people in a group taking sugar pills that thought they were taking finasteride reported that their dick stopped working. similar to the same number of people that reported sides in the group that were legit taking finType 1 ginger that took MT2 for 5+ years and now getting mistaken for African descent crew:

Finasteride would be my very last choice. if you haven't try the natural ways yet +minox +keto (optional)... you really must give it a shot.
I have noticed a difference in the last month since i started taking Saw Palmetto in doses of about 1000mg a day. Before that I also started taking an iodine, zinc and taurine supp with results that seems to stop the hairloss and shedding. Other changes were dietary.... so, reduced intake of omega 6 and increasing omega 3. Also, added coconut oil into my diet.

The Merck study that tested 18000 people
One study revealed that 3.8 percent of men treated with Propecia reported one or more adverse sexual side effects, compared with 2 percent of those given a placebo.

The thing is that the 2% given placebo didn't necessarily suffer from limp dick. They could have reported decreased libido whereas the 2% who actually got side effects from the finasteride group (4% is 2% above placebo) pretty much all got limp dick. They aren't that specific with what the placebo group actually said. I have never heard anyone complain of low libido but not limp dick, for example. So rest assured that anyone who actually gets side effects gets it.Last edited by KidDynamite; 12-09-2014 at 02:15 PM.

Also I don't think some of you understand how medical studies work. The people who report side effects from the placebo group aren't complaining, they are just answering questions. So if someone from the placebo group is asked if their libido is different since starting the drug (or sugar pill), they just answer yes or no. Some might not be sure, but could answer yes. I doubt that many (or any) people in the placebo group couldn't get an erection. The Merck study doesn't say that they did. Just that they reported yes to some vague side effect.
The 2% who actually get side effects is a different story. They are complaining and those are the people you hear about on the internet. Not the placebo group who just answered yes or no to a question.
