I am thinking of going on prevention status soon. I have a full head of hear but I started to recede earlier this year. I know it is just a matter of time given family. Some people say when you first start taking it, you hair falls out a bit and then regrows. As someone who started with a full head of hair, did that happen to you?
I have thick, soft hair. Was the hair you grew the same consistency? Don't want pubes to start growing out of my head.

You don't get it, i was on 3/4 for 8 months and my body hair didn't grow back at all. Before i had shave my face every day, on 3/4 i could stop shaving my face for 1 week and you would only see slight stubble, now if i don't shave for 1 day you see more stubble.
I googled it and a few results came up, but since most guys don't really mind it. It's probably not discusses or being reported.

Read some of the studies on here or go to the forum and read personal accounts.....there is a lot of info. http://www.propeciahelp.com/. Side effects are much more common than people say and sometimes can be permanent. If you think going bald would be bad....think about having a limp noodle the rest of your life. Not worth the risk for me.

Well if you think about it there are millions of Fin users and the majority just take the pill and forget about it.
There has been a chitload of independent studies on it and every time it's the same a small minority gets sides.
If 2% got sides you have potentially thousands of people that are going to be very vocal.
Last week i found out 5 friends of mine were on Fin and they never told anyone because it wasn't that big of a deal.
And also it's kind of the creatine of the baldingcommunity.

Took propecia for like 3 weeks, had a lifeless, numb dick dangling from my body after. Had to force myself to fap, libido shut down, never horny.. just started getting better, i'm doing ok now.. I thought i'd be alright potentially sacrificing libido for hair because in the moment you're so god damn desperate for anything to get your hair back, but after experiencing the sides i'd much rather be bald in a heartbeat over dickless and incapable of fuking women. x 10000000

most people would experience the same if they stayed with it a little longer.
also, I know 0.2mg is nearly as potent as 1mg as far as hair count goes, but some people have reported less sides starting off when ramping up with a smaller dose such as 0.2 or 0.5 every day or even every other day. Might be worth trying for those worried about sides and still want to get on it.Type 1 ginger that took MT2 for 5+ years and now getting mistaken for African descent crew:

I also know a handful of people that are taking or did take fin and probably half of them has some sort of sides. Just look at any thread that is posted on the Misc and how many people post that it gave them sides....usually a limp dik and depression. I'm not telling anyone not to do it nor am I against it. At least be aware of what you are putting in your body and how it could affect you. My Dr didn't tell me anything about it besides it would help my hair loss. It gave me sides that scared the **** out of me. Luckily mine weren't permanent like some peoples. Just trying to make people aware.CHICAGO CREW!

I take fincar, 5mg generic finasteride. cut into 1/6, but it's never accurate so really it's anywhere from 0.5 to 1mg every day. fin dose is largely irrelevant to hair count results, studies show that 0.2 is damn near as effective as a full mg. frequency of dose is more relevant.

I risked two years of accutane. Acne gone, still not one zit five years later, side effects went away when I finished it. Accutane has so much higher risks than this drug. This is why I probably think the people not willing to bet on a 99% success rate are strange.
Plus of the 1% who get sides, they go away if you quit it. And for those who claim limp forever, some were already losing their virility. For the .0001% who are "permanently limp", there is viagra.
I already risked pooping in a bag for the rest of my life to lose my acne. I think I can risk having to start viagra in my twenties for a 99% chance of not balding.

it was hard for me to get an erection on it. I could still get them but had to manually stimulate and it could take some time sometimes. Side effects aren't a huge misconception even if you had success with it.
Yeah because it's so unreasonable to think that inhibiting the most potent androgen in the male body could cause sexual side effects... everyone's just imagining them.
