    lower back pain

I think I hurt my back doing deadlifts today. Did my one rep max which I was able to get 345 for. If you want I can show you guys the video. After that I did 3x6 of 275 and my lower back is kind of sore right now. It's not too bad but it's there.. it's not doms because it's been like 2 hours. It feels like sharp pain when I try to sit down or run. But even then it isn't too bad. Like it doesn't bother me too much. It's not the first time I've had this kind of pain, but it usually goes away within a couple days and then I squat and deadlift again.

Hey buddy, firstly if your going to do deadlifts please wear a weightlifting belt for your back. If it's that bad lower the weight for a while then go back into it as norm. Maintain good posture and form (crucial). Maybe hot and cold on your back to help speed the recovery not sure.

^I do not agree. That weight is completely fine without a belt its his form he likely needs to work on. He is probably also starting the lift with the bar too far away from his ankles. Getting sharp pain like that may be because hes trying to good morning the weight up instead of driving all through the heels then using the glutes to lock in qhen breaking past the knees. I used to get the same soreness in my back and it was all form related. I have worked my way up to 4 plate raw deadlift and a belt is not necessary.

Take a rest few day and see how it goes. Cant tell though more since i dont know what happened. I had lower back problems before and actually repaired it with deadlifts. So hard to say anything. Put the video and might be easier to tell

I wouldn't say a belt is needed. Just good form. Learn good form, then move to a belt.
Treat the problem, not the symptom.

Post the video and Let us see!

You lean forward while lifting, remember post deadlifters dont pull the weight they push the ground with legs and help it with back. Its not a pulling exercise is pushing one
