Oh man watching now. I've started to be a fan of Brendan since his podcast but damn, I feel bad for the guy right now. Rogan just told him he's not at the level of the elite guys, basically telling him to retire....then they cut to Schaub's face and he was speechless. Whether you like someone or not it sucks to see a human being basically coming to the realisation that their dream is not going to happen.

Basically said he's not up to facing the elite.
Says he has an awesome work ethic and drive to do well but can't piece it all together.
Movement looks stiff. Telegraphs shots. Just can't transition well.
Basically saying it's time to hang up the gloves~Misc BJJ crew~

not everything needs to be positive, politically correct. I think its better the way joe does it. hes respectful, and hes honest and says the straight truth, (or his opinion at least, if you disagree) without filter. that's going to do more good for the guy than stringing him along with false hopes and candy coated dreams

Just read the play by play. Joe his supposed to be his boy man....to come at him like this in public is a low blow imo. Why not tell him this chit in private? Seems like Brendan wasn't expecting this at all....apparently he was close to tears. I'd be pretty pissed if a supposed friend did that to me.
It's all ego man. These guys all have massive egos and it makes it impossible for them to see things objectively. There is but one path....we kill them all.

Few cliffs taken from twitter:
Schaub won’t admit to himself that he could never beat Travis Browne on any night, ever. “If I get a second round, it’s on”.
“You looked stiff, you didn’t look like an elite fighter”.
“I worry about your commitment to fighting and where you stand. You have one foot out the door. A very dangerous space to be”
“You are a smart dude. You know about concussions you have had. The reality is, I don’t see you beating elite guys. You have no fluidity”
“There is **** other people can do that you can’t do” Schaub just sits there dumb-founded, says to Rogan: “Not sure I agree”.
Schaub tells Rogan he can wrestle Cain, “you would be surprised” Rogan: “I think you would be surprised. Cain would **** you up”
Schaub says “I beat Crop-Cop”. Rogan dismisses it. “Are you comfortable getting knocked out 3-4 times in the next few years”
Rogan: “This is just reality. I know this is hard to hear”. Schaub looks near tears. Musters up “You are my boy Joe, but I don’t agree”.
Rogan to Schaub: “You telegraph too much. It is real obvious what you are going to do. You are predictable. Arlovski was a terrible fight”.
“When I look at the performances, you are not an elite fighter. I know what I am seeing. You are not recognizing.” Schaub listening quietly.
“You are not fighting at that level. You are going to get ****ing hit man. I worry. You leave more openings, you have vulnerabilities.”
“15 minutes with an elite fighter. You can’t do that. Your brain doesn’t get better from punches. Werdum, Cain is another level than you.”
Schaub totally silent now. Rogan tells him “it sucks to hear, right”.
DAMN. Rogan DESTROYED Schaub live on air. That's fuked up lol. There is but one path....we kill them all.

maybe rogan warned big brown before the podcast that he's just gonna be brutally honest with him and asked him if it's ok to air it and schaub said it's fine do it on the podcast, I doubt rogan is the type to blindside a friend like this I think he's just seriously concerned for his friend, either way it's ****ing weird viewing, like an intervention that we shouldn't really be listening to, it's like reality tv but actually real

I used to be on the fence about Joe Rogan, but he's a pure effing SCUMBAG.
His ego has gotten way out of control with the continued success of his podcast.
I'm not even Schaub, nor do I like him, but I was getting mad just looking at what he said.
It's obvious Joe Rogan always wanted to make it as a fighter, but never could.
He's projecting his insecurities onto Schaub under the guise of 'being real'
I hope Schaub sees pasts this, stops podcasting, and comes back better than ever.

to be fair, schaub wanted to do this on a podcast. sounds like they (joe and that other moron) wanted to do it privately.
i was thinking the same thing til they said as much a few min ago. i cant stand jre or callen and thought this was awful to do in this medium but it was all on schaubMinisterOfLust: scooterbrah and Mcfreoko are the two worst posters here.

I disagree, I like Rogan and what he did is what a friend does. Schaub wanted to do it live, not Rogan. Rogan told him his honest opinion cause he cares. We all know and Joe knows Schaub simply is not good enough to hang with the elite guys and will keep getting knocked out. Schaub actually thinks he can beat Cain and JDS...that alone should tell you the guy needs to retire. He simply is not gifted enough and will simply take years of his life. He's a young guy that can venture into many different things but fighting he should stop.
Can you imagine what fighting Cain or JDS/Werdum/Hunt would do to his brain?Owe 2 reps to: BBNobu

It isn't a dik move by Joe it is probably the best thing Brendan has gotten in terms of advice. He is likely surrounded by yes-men, sycophants who tell him how great he is and feed his ego. About time some one tells him he sucks balls so hard he is going to just hurt himself and has little chance of winning.
