The Aussie Army allows tats so long as they are not on the face, neck or hands.
I also think that if you want to try for SF, they cant have anything showing your real name, family etc... but that one I'm not so sure on.
With regards to this video, no offense guys but that Marine seemed like a dick, I mean isn't one of your amendments the right to freedom of speech? So long as the guy wasn't hurting anyone or doing something properly disrespectful (i.e pissing on/burning the flag), shouldn't he have been able to exercise his right to free speech?Always pick #4 crew

Crying over a flag? Lol. Blind nationalism... Where people argue that their country has the best criminals.

Yeah, no doubt about that.
The worst part of it is that the most prominent opposition that we have to this is the SJW movement which promotes an even more blatant violation of freedom of speech and self expression. And unlike the paradigm perpetuated by the marine above who at least admits he "doesn't give a fukk about your civil rights", the SJW movement disguises their oppressive tendencies as superior morality and passes it off to the world as a legitimate desire to protect those in need, misguided people are eating it up and bringing us closer and closer to an Orwellian dystopia under the pretense that they are promoting "equality" and "civil rights".
It's like no matter who you side with over here you're ****ed.Last edited by Charuto222; 12-08-2014 at 06:30 AM.
They see indoctrination and they call it "morality", "professionalism", or "maturity" depending on the context.

The flag doesn't bother me but the moped does.

after this incident, more than likely, hung the flag up in the barracks, bragged to their gunny, he gave 'em a "good job! Hoo Rah!", gathered a bunch of their barracks buddies, got really drunk and circle-jerked each other about how bad azz they were when they showed that pusy he can't do that to the flag they protect.
the general jarhead culture is disgusting, especially in the lower ranks. the older guys and officers seem to be more level headed....imnoting

Warrant Officers > *
Have the MOS knowledge of a MSgt/MGuns, but still has the brass to tell people to **** off.
We had a CWO4 with us in Iraq and he didn't gaf. Took shrapnel to the head in a mortar attack and went back to work the next day. Tried to refuse his purple heart, too.
Best Marine I ever served under.

That's your reply? It, and you are a waste of bandwidth for me to reply to, but I'll oblige nonetheless. That idiot in the video doesn't represent all of us. His heart and mind, although in the right place; went the wrong way about it. Having a flag upside down, as stated many times in this thread, is an international symbol of distress. Did this kid know that? Probably not. He simply thought the American flag was being disrespected. I thought I made that clear.
But since you have no actual valid rebuttal, and only choose to try to use my own words against me; I'll stoop to your level. It's clear that you, like t least two other posters in this thread either have an issue with the military in general, Marines, or the government. Which is your right as an American citizen, and unalienable. But if you're going to try to argue with one, at least have two legs to stand on so you don't look foolish.United States Marine Corps [Sep. '01 - Mar. '13]

You haven't been reading this thread, have you? Just decided to arbitrarily attack me just because? He (the Marine) didn't make the video, an onlooker did. And burning a flag in within an American's Constitutional rights, as disrespectful as it may be. Me saying I would have done something denotes no assumption of violence or anything else of a confrontational nature.
And it's "accost". If you're going to attempt to attack me, please do it with at least proper grammar.United States Marine Corps [Sep. '01 - Mar. '13]
