hey if cm punk comes in and cracks the top ten (which i doubt) then what will it say about the wwe guys.

Mma fighters can't resort to the whole they do fake fighting crap anymore.

I hope cm punk proves me wrong and does decent in the ufc.

He has never even had a fight and was pretty busy with WWE stuff to have trained at the level that guys in the UFC do. Guys in the UFC train, literally, 6 hours a day for 5-6 days a week.

Hell, he may not even have the right mindset. Lesnar is far different, as he trained for a year before he debuted, had an elite amateur wrestling background and also had a fight before he had his debut.

You are aware he has been absent from WWE for a fair amount of time right? Since January 2014.

That being said Lesnar had two distinct strengths from the get go, strength and the guy was remarkably quick for his size. Oh and he was an arrogant jackass which drove me to buy the ppv events hoping he would lose.

I don't see cm punk being a huge draw like Lesnar was.

From what I have read, Punk hasn't even trained much yet. So no, he is going to get massacred. And even if he was training, few guys have the raw talent to hang with UFC guys. The talent level of UFC guys even compared to upper tier local circuit pros is ridiculous.

If you can't understand the difference between WWF fantasy fights and actual MMA fights, you shouldn't be posting here. In fact, if you're still watching WWF, you're probably a child.

I really love this kind of sh*t because it really shows how ignorant some people are.

The matches may be predetermined but the injuries are real. They get hurt just like mma fighters do and fake or not these pro wrestlers do have to be in great shape to carry out matches especially when they exceed 20 minutes with no 'rounds'.

I like both.

Punk is HUGE in the wrestling world. He has a huge following and trust me that when he's on his first PPV its gonna have huge numbers.

Hell he's been out of the WWE for about a year now and fans still chant his name at every show since he quit

He is a big star in the wrestling world but he means little of anything outside of WWE-everybody knows Hogan, Rock, Austin, Flair but Punk has no real mainstream fame-which is what you are looking at if you are doing something long-term. ECW has been gone nearly 14 years & people still chant it at WWE shows every time a table or chair gets used.
