not much of a hiker myself (never really had an opportunity tbh) but I've always wanted to try mountaineering. I think it would be awesome. My dream is to summit Everest srs.
Other than that, love being in the mountains. Snowboarding is my sport. It's like you're in a different world when your gliding down a mountain. Nothing else matters.

I mostly hike myself, but I am also looking to get into mountaineering. A friend of mine wants to summit Mt. Rainier Next summer, I'm seriously considering it.
The Sawtooths are amazing. People always forget about Idaho
Looks like a nice, chill spot. I love seeing what the landscapes are like all over the place.~BBCOM Chadmin~

Just got back into fishing this year and my kids love to go. Going to see if I can go ice fishing over the winter. Bought a 26' camper and planning to go out frequently with the family to a bunch of places. Also want to get into bow hunting in the near future. Kids are all too young for serious hiking yet, but we go on a few quick nature hikes. Few pics from the summer.
White mountains, NH with the boys.
Hike to falls in VT, helping my niece and nephew cross the river.
Waterskiing.

Beautiful country out there. I plan on making a trip hiking through the Northern parts of the Appalachian Trail(NH,VT,ME).
The White Mountains are supposed to have some of the most insane weather in the country, do you guys ever do any backcountry camping or mainly just car camping type stuff?~BBCOM Chadmin~

I was too beta to even ride that. haha I'll have to try and scan a bunch of old Polaroids and throw em in here. Old pics are pretty funny.

My kids are still pretty young (oldest is 7 in a few weeks, youngest is 1) so pretty much stick to the car and then go on short hikes here and there. Northern New England is gorgeous. So many lakes and mountains to check out. If you get up to Maine, I would recommend going rafting down the Kennebec, Penobscot or Dead rivers. I rafted down the Kennebec about 9 years ago (before I had kids). Awesome trip, lots of class 4 and some class 5 rapids.
As the kids get older, we'll branch out into more adventurous stuff, but for now I gotta keep to their pace.I'm not DrewDarden

Here's just a tiny selection of my latest adventures, themed for ice/icebergs/glaciers.
Fiancee standing outside an ice cave (which I was inside) a couple weeks ago:
My two dags enjoying the GOAT weather near a glacier:
View of a 10,000ft mountain from a melted glacial pool:
History of the above mountain: On the same day Abraham Lincoln was assassinated, only shortly after the end of the civil war, the man who would come to make the purchase of Alaska from Russia, William H. Seward, was almost assassinated as well.
John Wilkes Booth, the man who shot Lincoln, was not alone. Another assassin named Lewis Payne was prowling about that night, and were it not for the heroic efforts of one George Foster Robinson there is a good chance that William H. Seward would have been killed that same night. Had Robinson not saved Seward's life it is entirely possible that Alaska would never have been purchased from Russia in "Seward's Folly" only two years later!
One hundred years later this ten thousand foot mountain on the edge of Matanuska Glacier would be named after George Foster Robinson.
One of my dags approaching a glacier (this is on a frozen lake):
Standing under the aurora and milky way at 3am:
Standing inside a glacial tube called a moulin... slippery as fuark in there!
Aesthetic iceberg while rafting a lake:

Misc golf crew...couple pictures from a couple courses:
Wildewood Country Club, Columbia SC:
Woodcreek, a Fazio course, also in Columbia:
Random - Botany Bay, near Edisto Island SC - this is a state park where erosion is moving into a forest, the ocean is right behind me, so you have all of these ancient trees in the middle of the beach. Nice place for a hike. They are letting it go to study it.
can't compete with alaska bros.Stern Crew
