From the NY Times article
"One survey a few years ago found that half of Japanese men were dissatisfied with the size of their allowances, and some have to plead with their wives for an advance if they run out early.
Mr. Okuyama sees this at his job at the post office, which in Japan also functions as a savings bank. Husbands sometimes slink in toward the end of the month, asking to withdraw money secretly from family accounts."
Just lol.

Does not a single MISCer possess the ability to READ?
The FIRST study is about the 16-19 y/o age group. We DID NOT talk about that study in the post you quoted, but the OTHER TWO STUDIES, with SINGLE MEN in their 20's and 30's, you know, just as the fuking page states:
Additionally, two surveys of single men in their 20s and 30s found that 61% and 70%, respectively, considered themselves grass-eating men.[4]

Not surprised.
Anyways, miscers are basically projecting their own values on these guys. These men are called herbivores because they lack drive and assertiveness in all facets of their lives, whether it be women, career, sports, social interactions in general... hell everything. For ****'s sake it's obvious enough by the name. They don't "disregard slots" (which is stupid as well). They just disregard sex. They are all for emotional connections with women. Basically, they see being friendzoned as a good thing.
As I said before, there are a lot of social issues regarding young men in Japan lately. Hell, look up the hikikomori. Probably the result of the combination of a stagnate economy, little genetic variety, losing a major war, intense pressure to measure up to the expectations of others, and who knows what else.

Check out Glubb's Theory of empire, PM for the full pdf if interested
An extract :An increase in the influence of women in
public life has often been associated with national
decline. The later Romans complained
that, although Rome ruled the world, women
ruled Rome. In the tenth century, a similar
tendency was observable in the Arab Empire,
the women demanding admission to the
professions hitherto monopolised by men.
‘What,’ wrote the contemporary historian,
Ibn Bessam, ‘have the professions of clerk,
tax-collector or preacher to do with women?
These occupations have always been limited
to men alone.’ Many women practised law,
while others obtained posts as university
professors. There was an agitation for the
appointment of female judges, which,
however, does not appear to have succeeded.
Soon after this period, government and
public order collapsed, and foreign invaders
overran the country. The resulting increase
in confusion and violence made it unsafe for
women to move unescorted in the streets,
with the result that this feminist movement
collapsed.
The disorders following the military takeover
in 861, and the loss of the empire, had
played havoc with the economy. At such a
moment, it might have been expected that
everyone would redouble their efforts to save
the country from bankruptcy, but nothing of
the kind occurred. Instead, at this moment of
declining trade and financial stringency, the
people of Baghdad introduced a five-day
week.
