As of September 2010, 36% of Japanese men between the ages of 16 and 19 perceived themselves in this way.[3] Additionally, two surveys of single men in their 20s and 30s found that 61% and 70%, respectively, considered themselves grass-eating men.[4] This phenomenon is viewed by the Japanese government as a leading cause in the nation's declining birth rate, prompting the government to provide incentives for couples that have children, including payouts and free health care.[5]

In related news, they'll have sexbots for us all within the decade.
But seriously though, the Japanese are always ahead of the curve. Apparently these non-carnivore guys straight-up think bitches be tripping, can see nothing in a relationship except expense and bullchit. They cbf wining and dining some sloot who will probably cheat on them anyway, can deal without the hassle. Technology gives them companionship (plus they hang around other dudes) and they'd rather fap.
I think it's pretty alpha, to be honest with you. Like meta-alpha, they've just taken it to a whole new level of disregard women, acquire currency.

Think you of the fact that a deaf person cannot hear. Then what deafness may we not all possess? ~ Dune
We need a new ideology with the core values of reason, honesty, science and secular progress over the older traditions of religion, superstition and dogmatic faith that have long defined humanity. We will never be free to progress and advance until the last stone from the last church is cast down onto the last priest. And every equivalent.

let me aware you brahs on okozukai
http://www.japan-talk.com/jt/new/okozukai
in japan, it is customary for the husband to give all his income to his wife
his wife then gives him an allowance every month for him to spend on things he wants
a man who makes $125k/year usually gets around $375/month to spend
you guys would say no to marriage too if we did that in the US

Strong article, strong reading comprehension or intentional bullshít, not sure.
The article is full of "its common", "amongst those, many", and "often". If you drew up a Venn diagram it would be a pitiful sample size. But of course you make out of it "its customary" ... yea, right. Other articles from that site: "67 reasons you will hate Japan".
Its common in most countries that housewives take care of the household budget - or do you think you know what the household costs are if you don't take care of it yourself?
Firstly: The other studies use single men as populations for their samples, so comparing all three at once is dumb. Also, is it so surprising that amongst single men there are many bitter FA *******s? Just look at MISC.
Secondly: The main reasons assumed for this phenomenon is the economical hardship in Japan and their culture. The men feel ashamed to not be successful breadwinners and chose not to face that shame (by way of avoiding dating all together). It has nothing to do with their women, but with themselves, as usual, really.

This isn't some kind of "there's no point in marriage because it gives no real benefits to men" kind of thing that exists in America. Apparently, they have a real problem in Japan where young men are becoming increasingly passive, weak, and effeminate. This seems to be manifesting itself in several ways, including men who are too scared to even walk out of the house, a complete lack of sexual aggressiveness or assertiveness, and male anorexia. Frankly, it's pathetic.
