Just had the results come in for a test we did on PES Select Protein. As you'd expect the supplement is spike free and packs almost 3% more protein than listed on the label.
Official lab report can be found here.

I see. But you do realize that the product is MPI + whey concentrate 80 + additional leucine right? I'm wondering if the added leucine may have bumped up the protein content up a bit in the test (not saying that they are cheating us of protein, but there is added leucine which I presume is to help bump the total leucine dosage per serving up to a full 3 grams or so, my guess is to maximize MPS without having to double scoop like one would with most other protein powders).

Being either side of their listed amount by 1 to 3% is expected, and in no way a bad thing. The fact that PES are over rather than under is awesome. Some major supplement companies aim for the exact amount and will never get it right on, where as some aim for half or a gram more just in case someone does test and it's under. It would probably be impossible to be bang on the claimed amount for every batch and prove that in every test. There is a company in Europe called Scitec who are one of the biggest protein producers in the world, and they test every batch. You can see their results and accuracy right on their website.

Probably not worth testing for it. I'm pretty confident that what PES labels as the protein content is legit protein content and I'm pretty confident that the leucine essentially bumps it up to ~3 grams of leucine per serving.
Was just pointing it out because I highly doubt any company, no matter how nice they are, would go around giving you more protein than advertised. LoL.Completed Logs & Reviews:

The AA test is for free form AAs. What everyone is using for amino acid spiking. LeuPep are leucine peptides so they would have to be hydrolyzed before being seen as leucine on a free form AA test
We are now looking into a way to accurately test for gelatin and collagen. This is becoming the next protein "trick" in the industry, with people labeling them as beef protein isolate and hydrolyzed protein isolate. But gelatin and collagen have virtually no biological value, and in the food industry you actually have to put on the label that it's not a significant protein source. But this gets left off of the protein powdersPES - Physique Enhancing Science

3 grams out of 26+ grams.
I know there's 3% extra found through testing. There should be naturally ~2 grams of leucine in the listed (label) amount of protein. So they only need to add less than ~1 gram of leucine to hit the optimal MPS stimulating level of 3 grams of leucine. I'm not implying there's 3 grams of added leucine in each serving.
But it's a moot point anyway because I trust this protein is likely legit.Completed Logs & Reviews:
