What are you going to do next year in the gym?
I'm going to try and spend 9 months in surplus, and get to 4 plates on my DL and a 2 plate front squat, train steady. That's all I got.

Walk without crutches. Squat and deadlift an empty bar. Find new friends to replace the ones who betrayed me during my surgery recovery. Continue learning how to enjoy life. Hopefully eventually get to the point where I can do some strongman training and skiing. Small things are huge right now ( and hopefully forever ).

I had decided that a 1200lb total on the big 3 was my goal but I already did that by setting a personal deadlift record of 525 the other day (did 375 squat the day before, and bench is at 300). So now my goal is 1300 pounds total.
I would also like to put on 5 more lbs of muscle and stay between 220 and 230...

Be more disciplined: follow a training schedule I just made for myself and keep better track of diet/macros. Ordered a wall calendar
and a journal for this. Hoping this will help me learn and add a little lean mass ofc - although hard to say how much.
Get leaner, 10-12%, and gain back some athletic ability (adding running and some track type drills)

I had not planned any goals for 2015 until you started this thread and got me to think about it early
goals
To improve all my lifts in terms of weight and also form
To reach 180lb and decide if too much of it is fat and if so, calorie deficit until happy with aesthetics
To introduce new exercises to my programme as accessories in order to constantly keep it interesting
To train consistently 4 times per week and enjoy each and every session☻/

Get above 200 pounds while being at or a pinch below my current BF%.
Have my lower back issues in the rearview mirror.
Back to squatting at or above 225 lbs.
Back to deadlifting at or above 315 lbs.
Bench 200 lbs. +.

Start the year out in a deficit for 3-5 months until I get back to around 200, then back to a slight surplus until the end of the year. Hoping to have a 500lb deadlift, 400lb squat, 300lb bench by the end of the year at around 205-210lbs and be leaner than I was this year at 200 (gain about 10lbs lean mass) This year's goals were 225x5 bench, 315x5 squat, 405x5 deadlift and I hit those last month and am moving onto to the 2015 goals now, except for the diet part, that can wait until January.

Good question, Robert!
My big achievement in 2014 is being able to touch my right toe. Yeah!
Now for 2015, bring able to tie my right shoes lace would be cool!
All about walking straight and rehab for me
In Jan. I'm starting Brett Contreras Strong Curve beginner then advanced program which should take 1/2 the year, lots of hip mobility and glute activation, last cycle increasing strength.** Marie **

I'm mostly just happy to be lifting again this year and going to try to push my strength and mass gains as much as I can until I feel I need to trim down some. Other than that my only other main fitness goals for this upcoming year is to do a GORUCK event and participate in Carry the Fallen, a 12 hour ruck march to raise money to help reduce veteran suicides.

Stay injury free and/or continue to improve injuries I currently have while continuing to improve on lifts and body shape. Also add a little more weight and just stay healthy overall.

Bench 330 in competition in January; achieve single digit bodyfat to compete in bb'ing next summer; complete the Spartan Trifecta (I usually do other obstacle races as well); compete again in PL in December (too early to predict numbers).
edit: looks like I can do both the Spartan Sprint and Beast races in August which will work out perfectly. Can't find dates for the Beast yet though.Last edited by scullin; 11-24-2014 at 06:56 AM.

Goals depend on how my shoulder surgery goes in January. At the very least it will be to recover from surgery and get my lifts back to where I can make some real progress. In other words, get healthy, stay healthy, increase lean mass while keeping BF between 9 and 12%.
