Seriously. I really like what they have to offer but it is clear they have no interest in the home gym market for the most part. Sure there are those that will still buy from them , but there pricing is not in the same ballpark as their competitors. I have their diamond trap bar, landmine and a few landmine attachments. All are great quality. I love their attention to detail. But wow, they have gotten expensive.

Actually I think it's Rogue, BWTG, and Edge that are pushing them out of the home market and focusing solely on commercial and facility sales - they net a higher margin and keep their overhead down. I wouldn't be surprised if Elite and Legend start following them in this route.

Rogue is for sure the main culprit.
Whether their business model is fantastic remains to be seen. They've enjoyed great benefit from being the official supplier to Crossfit, if they lose that it could be devastating. Also they were grew as Crossfit grew, with the saturation of boxes and an assumed slowing of new locations, that might take a hit. If they experience any considerable downturn in business, having that much money tied up in inventory and overhead could come back to haunt them.Boomer Rep Crew #1

I don't believe crossfit is going anywhere for a long time (despite my personal distaste for it), and I don't believe crossfit has intentions of getting a different games supplier. I agree that if sales dry up that inventory-on-hand is bad, but I don't think that's going to happen any time soon. But you're correct, only time will tell.

I don't think Crossfit is going anywhere, but I don't think the boxes are going to keep opening up as often as they have over the last decade. I also don't think they are going to attract new members that will buy for their home at the same pace.
I would bet Rogue got in as the official Crossfit supplier early on with little to no competition and got a sweet deal out of it - like Reebok did because Nike wasn't interested. In five or six years when the Reebok deal ends, I fully expect to see a lot more competition jump in and drive the cost up. I can't believe there won't be more equipment manufacturers that jump into the fray to sign that deal and drive the cost up. Losing that affiliation could cost them dearlyBoomer Rep Crew #1

The spotters and j-cups are ridiculous, I agree. But they did just release the Recon bench @ $549 to take the price point where the NP used to be. It's pretty much a copy of Rogue's entry-level Adjustable Bench for $25 less, so they at least care a little bit about staying competitive for home gymmers (is that a word?)
It is funny to look back on Sorinex threads recommending the NP bench and dark horse racks and look at what the prices used to be...wasn't even that long ago.Garage Gym Owner

I hope elite doesn't follow suit. They have always had a reputation for being expensive but they seem to be in the middle. I have their byo rack, safety squat bar, multi press bar, chains, bands etc... And looking at what others now seem to charge it has seemed reasonable. That being said I'm not a brand whore. Whenever I need something I go for what's best at the time.

For anyone in the field (Looking at you Mech6 & others too), have metal prices jumped?
For $600, "Lol, you're silly" is the type of response I'd give them. I can't take this price seriously at all.Crews: Ivanko Barbell Crew #52, York Barbell Club #95, Equipment Crew #59

I love the Sorinex equipment but agree it is too expensive. This is why I ordered my power rack from Reflex, it still cost a pretty penny but it cheaper for the same quality. Plus, I can custom order the power rack and attachment which can't be done at Sorinex. I have also start to look at Mech's stuff, ordered a few pieces, great quality.
