The policy that was communicated to the stores isn't what the OP keeps saying. He just thinks that was the policy. The policy stated we would match all Amazon products sold as new. The original policy says no 3rd party vendors at the end. It also says that all matches with greater than a $50 difference are left up to the discretion of store management. All the stores already knew about the scam. He was probably the 50th clown to try it that day. She was probably fed up with it.

Also the policy was again updated today to blatantly spell out NO 3RD PARTY vendors.

I work in corporate working at the enterprise level. I work with International, US, and Sam's.

I've stated several times that the final decision on whether or not to honor the price match falls to the store manager. They hold the right to deny you use of the courtesy they extend to their customers.

You knew the price was not legitimate, and you, being a cheapskate with a ridiculously over inflated sense of self entitlement and self righteousness, tried to pull them up on it. If you had any capacity to show respect and decency, which you clearly do not, you wouldn't have tried to rip them off.

Price matching is something that companies do out of courtesy to their customers. It's not a given right and they have the power to revoke that privilege if they suspect you of fraudulent behaviour, which they most likely did.

So, it doesn't matter if it's their policy to match any price, at the end of the day you know that a PS4 should not cost $50 and you know that it was a scam and a hack on Amazon, and getting one for that price is ripping off the seller and is essentially immoral. Have some ****ing courtesy.

When Wal Mart sets up a system like this, they know a small percentage of the population will try to take advantage of it (not like it's illegal or anything) but overall, it will have a positive effect on the business (or they believe it will, which is why they instate the policy). Just like how GameStop allows you to return used games after a week for a full refund and there's people who basically just use it as a free rental system, GameStop knows this and doesn't give a ****. I just looked through the ad match guarantee and see no reason why they would say no.
