Cool USPlabs Mordern BCAA + & Mordern Creatine ~Guarantee Gainz~

I want to start off by saying that this would have never happened if it wasn’t for Classic34. I want to thank her for the promotion she ran awhile back ago for her 3,000th post. Now being a winner, a log wasn’t required, but I need to because this product is just that GOOD! I received my package about a week ago filled with samples and some full serving size supps. Now within a week’s time I have truly notice a difference in my strength, recovery, and fullness that came as soon as I started taking these products. So without further ado I will begin this log giving my opinion about USPlabs Modern BCAA + and Modern Creatine.

For the Modern BCAA I got the Blue Raspberry which tastes amazing. It kind of reminds me of crystal light and when you drink it with ice, oh Man is it good One of the coolest thing about this supplement; USPlabs didn’t waste the serving size with artificial coloring. That is a huge positive for me, because now there is less fillers and more quality. I take 2 scoops in 32oz (estimate) of water while I train. My training normally consists of high volume with high intensity. I was never a high weight for low reps kinda guy. I like to go as heavy as I can for as many as I can never going below 8 reps. Now every once in a while I gotta check my ego and lift some HEAVY weight, but I will drop the weight right after and pump out some more reps by doing a drop set. I’ve notice while taking these BCAAs during my workout I have good endurance and I don’t get as fatigued. As far as mixability goes it shakes up fairly easy, you just have to let it sit for a minute or two just to let it fully dissolve, which doesn’t bother me one bit.

Now the all new ModernCreatine, comes in unflavored and mixes great. I haven’t tried to see what it taste like alone yet, as I normally mix it in with my pre-workout or with Modern BCAA + However I am most excited about the strength gains I’ve made over the last week. I will use my front squats for example. I train legs twice a week (Monday & Thursday) on Monday I was feeling good during our squat session so I switched over to do front squats (4 sets in). On my last set which was set #5 of front squats or set #9 total of regular squats and front squats. I decided to put 315lbs on the bar expecting to only hit it 1 or 2tops. I was surprised that I got it 4 times! Now fast forward to Thursday, same deal started with regular squats went up to 405lbs decided to switch to front squats. Started with 225 and it felt so light I went straight to 315lbs. I then hit it for 6 Deep reps and my wife help squeeze another 2 out. This is how I’m feeling with all my lifts. I’m currently 204lbs on a bulk from 187lbs, and I’m pushing weight I was doing when I was 225lbs the first time around. I can’t wait to see how things will turn out in a few more weeks.

**Note this week training will be different for the simple fact I train with my wife and it's her peak week, also I'm in the Military and I have a PT test on Wednesday and I want to make sure I'm 100% to go.

    ***Update***

So I didn't go to the gym last night nor will I go tonight, so my body can fully rest/actually try and get some sleep. Because my unit is conducting APFT (Army Physical Fitness Test) testing today and tomorrow which means I wake up at 3:30am I still take my BCAA + twice a day. First serving right when I wake up on an empty stomach and the second right before bed. I take my Creatine mixed in my BCAA + right before bed. Hopefully my body will be well recovered so I do well on my APFT and then I will be hitting the gym hard after work since I had to take 2 days off

    *NOTE*

These 2 days off from the gym feel like an ETERNITY

    Cool

Ok so far today has been a good day.

I had to wake up at 3:30am so I could be standing tall at my Unit (in the Military) ready to take my APFT. Let me just say I had nothing to worry about.

I know I always smoke my PT test, but I still find I get that anxious/nervous feeling before hand.

Let me break it down for the non-Army personnel in here. We have to do as many push-ups and sit-ups in 2 mins, after that we have to do a 2 mile run. I'm on a profile due to pervious injuries (ex MP and now a Transporter) so I have to do a 2.5mile walk. there is a whole point scale with how many push-ups/sit-ups equal whatever points. The minimum points required by regulation is 60pts in each event. For my age group the minimum push-ups/sit-ups I have to do is 40 push-ups and 50 sit-ups. I did 80 push-ups in the first 45 sec and decided "I'm good, I guess I can stop B-) " and then I did 73 sit-ups in 1.5mins. I could have probably push more out, but the guy holding my feet was a lot smaller and if I would to try to use my legs to help pull myself up my feet would have left contact with the ground which would have terminated me anyways. As far as my 2.5mile walk, I have 34min:30sec to walk it in and I did it 30min:16sec which isn't a big deal.

I think taking these last 2 days off actually helped me out, especially since I kept taking my MODERN BCAA+ and my MODERNCREATINE to help with my body's recovery

I will be hitting the gym today too. I can't wait because I've been dying to try Blue Star P.P.K and it just came in...

    Truth..

Nothing works harder than you in the gym, so get an intra-workout BCAA that works just as hard as you do and see the results...

No lies here, you can see by my log the amount of progress made in such a short time...You better jump on it and get you some

Ok so as you know I was up yesterday at 3:30am got off work at 5pm got to the gym and started lifting around 5:20ish. As you can see I had a very long day; I also didn't train at the gym for 2 days so I was real anxious to get in there and start. I mixed up my MODERN BCAA+ (2scoops) mixed with my ModernCreatine (1scoop) in roughly 32oz water got my pre-workout and went to town.

I made the mistake (a very good mistake) of getting tunnel vision during my session and for the life of me I can't remember everything I did All I know is that ever exercise I did felt amazing, and when I workout, if something feels good I go till I can't. I don't count reps or sets, I just go till I can't no more. I can however tell you I did a pull routine. Trust me when I say, the volume I did last night was insane.

I woke up this morning feeling great, because of that intra-workout miracle drink I mix up every time really does help keep me from being sore. Unfortunally I won't be going to the gym once again after work today, but it's for good cause. I got to take my 9month pit bull out so, my wife and I will take him out running; I'll call today my "cardio" day even though I'm bulking

Arrow The Day before the BIG DAY!!!

So today is the day before my wife's big day, her very FIRST COMPETITION!!! so instead of doing cardio on the treadmill we decided to go on a hike this morning so we could watch the sun come up and just take in the moment. Back At It

So My wife's comp. is now over, and I will be able to continue to hit the gym. I never knew how much time went into competitions. Tomorrow I will be training legs and I will be going HEAVY, I have a goal of front squatting 405lbs by the end of THIS month and I plan on getting it. Still taking my Modern BCAA & ModernCreatine. Since this weekend was all about my wife and making sure she had everything and all the prepration, I did not go to the gym. I was taking my Gainz Stack once a day, which was first thing in the morning (when I woke up).

    Cool Just finished LEG DAY!!!

So I was planning on doing a HEAVY leg day but turns out I couldn't go as heavy as I wanted too after being out the gym for basically a week it seems that my lifts had suffer, so I just went for volume to get that pump and fatigue my quads and hams. So without further ado here we go..

Break down example: SETSxREPSxWEIGHT --> 5x10x135 or REPSxWEIGHT --> 12x135

    Warm-up
    Seated Calf extension
    • 10x15x270

    Back Squats (pause reps)
    • 15x135
    • 12x225
    • 8x315 (felt heavier than normal)

    Front Squats
    • 10x225
    • 10x225
    • 3x315 -->3x315 back squats super set

    Box Squats (18" box)
    • 10x315
    • 5x405
    • 5x455

    Close Stance Squats
    • 15x225
    • 10x225

    Lying Leg Curls
    • 3x12x90
    • 2x12x100
    • 3x10x110
    • drop set 12x120 --> 10x100 --> 10x80 --> 10x70

    Standing Single-Leg Leg Curls
    • 5x12x70

    Seated Leg Extension
    • 5x15x135

    Hip Abductor (machine)
    • 4x10x170

    COOL DOWN
    • Stretch 10mins

During all of this I had 2scoops Modern BCAA+ mixed in roughly 32oz of cold water and I mixed 1scoop of ModernCreatine in with my pre workout.
More than likely I will be somewhat sore because like I said earlier I basically had a week off of the gym so yea...lol I'm expecting on feeling this the next 2 days, but I bet it won't be as bad since I have
    this awesome stack.

Oh man do I feel it today lol. Woke up at 4:30am to get ready for work and my calves and quads were like "what the hell is your problem!" lol But I love this feeling, it's not a crippling hurt, but more of a good sore like I did some work. Now it's up to my Modern BCAA+ and ModernCreatine to help recover so I can pick up where I left off and push more weight than yesterday.

I was really disappointed yesterday not being able to go as heavy as I wanted, but I'm not going to let that stop me from reaching my goal. I still plan to hit 405 on front squats by the end of this month. we all have our good days and bad days, and I thought yesterday was going to be good but ended up bad (at least weight wise).

    **Update**
I went from taking my Modern BCAA+ twice a day (once in the morning & once while training) a total of 3 scoops in one day.
To only taking my 2 scoops during training; I wanted to see if I still get the same effects without going through the product as fast. I still take my ModernCreatine 1 scoop either pre workout or intra mixed with my Modern BCAA+. FYI I also use Purus Labs NOxygen in my pre/intra workout drinks. I've been using that product since it came out, if anyone is curious.

    Arrow

Ok so now that I only take my Modern BCAA+ during my workouts and not twice a day I can feel the difference. My recovery time isn't as fast, but it's still better than it was without taking anything at all. So depending on your budget and finances, you can make the decision on how many times a day you take it know that taking it twice a day works best (for me at least) than taking it only during training sessions. I am going to go back to taking it twice daily, 1 scoop immeditly after waking up on an empty stomach and 2 scoops during training sessions.

Now as far as my ModernCreatine goes, I am getting better muscular endurance where I can push more weight for more reps and more sets. I'm not on any specific diet, but I am bulking right now. I still eat healthy but I allow myself the freedom to eat some not so healthy foods when I feel like it I don't count macros but I have a general idea on how much I'm eating. Before this bulk I was on a very strict 12 week cut counting every last macro; that being said the amount of food equaling what ever macro is burned into my head. Like I said earlier I still eat healthy (same foods as cut just more) but allowing the extra fats/carbs from the not so healthy. I wasn't really planning on dirty bulking but my time frame on putting on size has changed so now it looks like I'm about to go dirty. I really didn't want to, because that's just putting on a whole lot of unwanted fat that is going to take a little longer to get off. Which means more cardio and/or diet harder, but hey I'm a GAINZ ADDICT

Here was yesterday Chest workout. Our legs were still pretty sore from the other day so we took it lighter cause we don't want our whole body feeling like our legs lol

    SETSxREPSxWEIGHT = 5x10x135 or REPSxWEIGHT = 15x200

Hope Everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Mine was pretty good, ate A LOT lol felt amazing but at the same time I felt so damn guilty haha. Anyways went to the gym early this morning and ended up going to the beach all afternoon, just now getting back. Today at the gym we hit a full arm routine and then did 1 shoulder exercise and 1 chest exercise. We were supposed to do 1 of everything to include quads, hams, claves, back, abs, and cardio. But by the time we got done with chest it was so crowded we just decided to leave. I don't remember my entire workout but we did a lot of volume; we did 4 different bicep movements to include a super set between seated db preacher curls and standing bb curls. and we did the same amount with triceps which ended up to be all super sets. For chest we did seated cable flies 4 sets of 12reps and shoulders we did 5 sets of standing db shoulder press 10 reps. since we went pretty much as soon as we woke up on empty stomachs (still full from thanksgiving) I had my Moderen BCAA+ 2 scoops intra-workout and my ModernCreatine 1 scoop mixed in with my pre-workout. I will be taking 1 additional scoop of Modern BCAA+ before bed tonight. Now it's time for me to get ready, my wife and I are about to go to the movies since my father-in-law is visiting from the mainland we finally got us a babysitter gotta enjoy it while it last he is gone on Tuesday. I hope everyone has a safe weekend, P.S. sometime this weekend I'm gonna go for 405 lbs on front squats. I will have my wife video tape it so if i hit it i can post it for proof

    Yesterday was the day...

I attempted to front squat 405lbs and was sadly defeated I tried once with out a spot and the second time I had my wife spot me...Both times I controlled it all the way down past parallel start making my way up and got stuck at parallel...I wanted to get it up sooo bad but my body was like, "WTF!!!WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!" lol It sucked all the motivation outta me so the rest of the workout sucked since i was filled with disappointment. Also, during my warm ups when I was front squatting 315 I came up to hard/fast and made the bar bounce up and land on my collar bone and this morning it is hurting pretty badly. I will post this failure of a workout I had yesterday...

    SETSxREPxWEIGHT --> 5x12x135 or REPxWEIGHT --> 12x135

    Back Squats
    • 12xbar
    • 12x135
    • 10x225

    Front Squats
    • 10x135
    • 5x225
    • 3x315
    • 0x405
    • 0x405
    • 5x315

    Back Squats
    • 5x405
*Note I only did this for pride reasons, lol people were watching me and I wanted to show them I could hit 4 plates no problem on regular squats lol

    Lying Leg Curls
    • 15x90
    • 12x110
    • 10x120
    • 10x100
    • 15x90
    • drop set, 12x120 -->12x100 -->12x80 -->failurex70

    Leg extensions
    • 3x15x135
    • 15x175
    • 15x145

    Seated Calf extensions
    • 6x15x290
    • 15x320

I'm almost out of my Modern BCAA+ and my ModernCreatine. I probably have a week, 2 at the most left. The dosage is still the same, I'm feeling a little more sore today than normal. I have a deep soreness in my quads for just attempting 405 on front squats, kinda feels like when you get hit and get that deep almost to the bone hurt, but today is my rest day so it's all good. I am changing up my diet also, for the simple fact that I feel I'm gaining more fat than muscle too fast and I don't like that. Going from 6%bf to 11-12% in only 8-10wks is a big hit mentally for me. I will be tracking my calroies and macros on myfitness pal again, I will be doing pretty much maintnance for me 2500 cal broken down 40/40/20 once I feel I lost some unwanted fat I will be bulk cycling I'll post a link to what I mean. But, overall I am very satisfied with these supplements USPlabs really knew what they were doing with these two.

Interesting comments on your use of Modern BCAA+. Keep us in formed regarding any changes in how often you use it/how much and your response.

Well gee, don't be so hard on yourself! Front squats are tricky; they're certainly a technical lift. Maybe making some tweaks to your form can gain you that 405 lb. lift.

I'm not beating myself up about it too bad, I know front squats are tricky. It's just when I set my mind to something I want to accomplish it, and when I don't I get upset but more determined. I know I have the strength, but I can be my own worse enemy sometimes. It's also a mental battle KNOWING you can do something helps a whole lot more than having the slightest doubt.

As far as the supplements go, I will let you know if I change the way I take it, but I'm pretty sure I won't be changing it again. I feel I get the most out of taking Modern BCAA+ twice a day, once during workout and once in the morning/before bed depending on what time I go to the gym. I still only take the ModernCreatine once a day, no reason to take more than that, IMO.

    Thanks again for checking in!
