    Bench press plateau

So, I have been lifting since May-June and I've seen great improvements. I gained considerable amount of muscle and i began a lot stronger, being able to 10 dips or more. Before I could do a max of two dips. In september I managed to bench press 155 pounds but now I am stuck at 140 pounds. I've been following the same routine but I guess that school is the problem as I am really tired because I have a lot to study. In summer I had time to hit every muscle group at least twice a week. I'm waiting for your advices, also im constantly increasing calories.

Look into a pyramid for Bench Press

You are stagnant and need to change things up

Think about lifting with intensity - you will grow

I don't think this is the case...

Last year I had the same problem, I could only bench 150 and could barely get it up. I was that way for over 3 months. What I did was I have lifting a break. I took a 3 week period where I didn't lift a weight. When I went back into the the gym I started noticing gains resembling newbie gains that's how fast it was. I took those weeks off in the summer, and when I went back to the gym my one rep max was only 140 (yes I lost strength), but I gained it all back very quickly and now I can bench 205lbs.

I would reconnect trying this. It may not work for everyone, but it's worth a shot. It worked for me and my friend who I reccomended it to!

Also eat more protein once you get back into the routine. More protein more calories, more rest. Drink more water to stay hydrated, this will lengthen the ammount of time you have to keep making gains before things slow down.

    Bench- 205 x 1
    Dead- 320 x 1
    Row- 165 x 1
    OHP- 135 x 1
