Brahs
For the past 3 years I've avoided dips because some bro scientist from my gym told me never to do dips because all they do is **** your shoulders
My never ending conquest to get big arms was coming to a hault because of the fact that I couldn't find any tricep exercises I liked that didn't hurt my elbows
Biceps were never a problem but I knew in order to get some titanic ass arms I needed my triceps to be just as big
Last month I said Phuck it and started doing dips with my "push" routine
6 workouts later I can honestly say that dips are gods gift to anyone that wants to achieve bigger triceps
Brb arms look twice the size
Brb striving for them 18's mo****a
Brb no shoulder pain
Brb quality form>quantity reps
Brb haven't even added any weight yet

If you are doing dips for the benefit of your triceps and not your chest, then you don't have to go that low at all. Just above parallel or parallel is fine. Dips put the most strain on the tricep at the top of the movement anyways, and the further you go down the more the chest comes into play.
I love doing dips myself, because they are tough, and the tougher an exercise the more results your gonna get. I see to many noobs with skinny looking arms spending ages doing silly tricep exercises like push downs on the cable machine. I just want to go over and tell them to man up and do some dips, and you'll get big arms.
Dips and pull ups are 2 of the best exercises you can do for building mass, yet I see very few people doing them in my gym. To many people go down the gym doing exercises that they find easiest, rather than the ones that are most productive.
