    stronglifts 5x5

so i've been doing stronglifts 5x5 for about a month now and like it so far. but is squatting heavy 3x a week ok for you? some people say its too much, some don't. also when should i take a deload week? my plan was to do stronglifts for 3 months and test my max on the exercise and see if i like where i stand and then switch to something else that is geared more to what i am looking for. do you guys think this is a good idea or should i do SL shorter or longer? and what are some opinions on attainable max goals for my lifts? i only weight maybe 150 and my current 5x5's are Squat: 250 DL: 315 Bench: 165 OH Press: 120 Row: 155

    THanks guys

Thats some decent number if you have only did stronglift.

Just keep progressing on the program. You know when its time to deload. Lack of energy and things like that.

Your body will let you know when its too much lol. I was on a 3x a week program for a while and I just got fatigued moreso than usual, so thats when I made the switch.

You are incredibly close to the target squat for SL (which is 300-315 lbs for reps), anyways. I'd try to tough it out for another 4-6 weeks before switching. You'll naturally see increases in your other lifts as well.
    Right.

What I have done in the past is drop to 2 times per week squats / 1 time per week deadlift once fatigue really start to kick in. So if you are working MWF I would squat M F and deadlift W.

The SL program is designed to carry you until you don't see gains. It lays out how and when you should deload and then when you no longer see gains, it has you moving to a 3x5 program like Madcows. From your numbers, it doesn't appear as if you've followed the program exactly as written.

Stick with it as long as you can--gains come quick with SL 5x5
To answer your question, the squat frequency is fine. I'm squatting 6x/week
    Bench: 275
    Squat: 415
    Deadlift: 465 << Haven't tested in a long time.
    Total: 1155

    Dips: +110 x 10
    Pull Ups: BW x 28
