    Deadlift legs scratch

Hey guys, I been doing deadlifts for a while now with one problem, the bar scratches me just below the knees, its a small scratch but eventually I manage get the area to bleed.
Wearing pants doesnt help, any other options except high socks ?

Change your form up so you don't scratch your legs. Bar can be just barely not touching them. Alternatively, if you lift conventional, move your legs inside the knurl. Otherwise I just use tall socks.

That's not where it's supposed to scratch you if it does. You aren't moving the knee back as you lift. Probably not sitting back far enough.

Pants should do the trick, bar shouldn't be scratching through them if the form is right.

You're going to scratch your shins up with deads if you're doing them right, you can't adjust your form when lifting heavy weight. That bar is going up and down, if you're leaning forward to miss your shins or swinging the bar you're asking for injuries beyond a few scratches.
You can invest in a hex bar but I find that is doesn't work so well for bigger guys.
Alternatively the shin guards aren't a terrible idea, I used to tape my shins up when doing deads but even those tend to shred after 5 or 6 sets.

Here are the ones I use with my TPB, deadlift so unknurled section of bar goes up my legs and the front is smooth on these so it doesn't catch.

I bought Shock Doctor Calf/Shin Wraps at Dick's Sporting Goods for $20 each. I also adjusted my form but these wraps are insurance - I've never had a problem with scraping my shins since. They are easy on/off and have thin padding that is enough to protect my shins.

I just cover the knurling with some cloth tape. Looks bad but works great.
