Actually Op's location has a lot to do with his situation, assuming he's in Seattle currently. The job market for accountants is absolute schit in Seattle, and the overall economy is pretty schit as well and it's one of the most UNDERemployed cities in the country. (srs)(CPA in Seattle) The cost of living in Seattle is ridiculous, and many people work 2 jobs in order to scrape by, and a lot of accountants are lucky to crack $15 an hour in their first 1-2 years without the CPA. I work as an analyst and used the CPA as a way to get into something else, because I knew it was such a bad market for accountants. Don't believe anything those internet lists say about it, either. Unemployment is low, schit job employment is high (brb need a BA/BS to drive a forklift of work in a warehouse...srs unfortunately, it's massively over-saturated), so the numbers really don't tell the whole story.

Lol. Who said you need your masters bro.
And you must not generalize, some people find good accounting jobs right out of college thst pay well.
Some are forced to work 15/hr accounting jobs for a while as well.
Not everybody is on the same track.
I didnt get my maac and im a staff accountant at a cpa firm.
Will soon be a cpa.☆☆☆MISC BOXING CREW☆☆☆

When your first out of college accounting majors just need someone to give them a shot. IMO big 4 isnt realy ideal because its a tough job and a lot of work when youve never worked before.
I say get experience elsewhere and transition to big4 later if thats still what you want.
I did one extra semester graduated with 147 creds and took a class over the summer = 150 creds
Taking Audit section of the cpa exam in january☆☆☆MISC BOXING CREW☆☆☆

Going to school and make average $40 an hour. Too bad the job is not consistant. Some weeks I'll work 30-35 hours and some some only 10 or none at all. I'm still ok with this

Company is a kuwaity multinational KFC "Kuwait financial Center" Aka Markaaz
Had a friend who was a financial consultant at booz ellen and knew people at KFC , one word to another and they told him they need an IT admin. and one thing led to another
Get what ever job you can with whatever pay within your field, stay there for a year, then start applying to knew jobs . and make sure you lie in your CV and during your interview. Tell them you were responsible on doing this and that , even if you werent..Thats the trick landing a good job
