First off, to people asking OP why he didn't shower or whatever, that's not what makes people smell like booze. It's in the blood. He's going to smell of it no matter how much he brushes his teeth or showers. You can mask it, but it'll come out.
He should have taken a sick day. People forget sick days after a while. People don't forget you coming in to work when you're hungover or drunk.*Beer Crew* *Bourbon and Scotch Crew* *Cardamom in My Coffee Crew* *Catbrah Crew* *Chicago Crew* *Coffee Crew* *Cologne Crew* *Dates Older Women Crew* O===}DBZ Crew{===O *Egyptian Crew* *First Beat the Elite 4 While on the Toilet Crew* *Maghrebi Crew* *Mediterranean Crew* *Middle-Eastern Crew* *Miscers Who Lift Crew* *Miscs While on the Toilet Crew* *Takes Too Long on the Toilet Crew*

Manager doesn't like him, was probably already looking to get rid of him. This job is not going to work out in the long run unless he or the manager can move internally to a different position. I think he did well by continously denying everything. Get the most out of this temporary job; milk it for any possible benefits (e.g. eligibility for unemployment money, steadier resume) while looking for the next one. You don't give ammunition to a guy who's trying to take you down.

Don't resign. Make them terminate you so you can get unemployment at least.
If you are terminated just keep parroting that you were absolutely not intoxicated.
And yeah, former employers aren't supposed to say anything other than whether or not you worked there (think they can say if you are rehireable or not in some states) but if it's a small company I'll tell you right now... People LOVE to gossip. My sister is a pro at getting the real story on folks (she's an HR manager). So it's not a guarantee that you won't get burned.** Eternal Jimmies Crew **

Take a substance test op, volunteer
Jakes on you if you take Anything other then caffeine, nicotine or alcohol without a prescription and alcohol would only show basically next day, a drink leaves your system per hours, that etg test is 80 hours
Basically that green plant is the only thing that isn't out your system in 2 or 3 days, takes like 2-3 months depending on use and how fat you are

Since when do credit reports state that you were fired from a job? Lmao.
You got schemed..no unemployment for youSurvival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

Wait, you actually bought his claim that being fired, if it even came to that, would show up on your credit report?.....................really?
You got what you deserved. Seriously. You don't call in sick when you didn't sleep and were likely still metabolizing alcohol. Then you resign without even checking to see if his bullschit is true? You threw away every little perk you could have had over a baseless threat instead of stalling for time to find something else. I called human resources on lunch and asked. In Canada if you work for a financial institution they check your credit report. There have been instances of financial advisors getting fired because of poor credit. I'd rather have resigned on that report then fired. I was doing this job to pass time anyways it's a poverty job.
