I got married 3 weeks ago at 29 years old.. Very similar stats wedding wise as far as money spent. I had about 130 people out of 150 invited show up. Rings even look kinda similar. We came home with about 10k in cash from cards from the guests.
As someone who literally just went through the same exact thing. Hold onto the moment because it goes by quick. The whole wedding day went by extremely quick. I had the ceremony in a small country chapel that only fit about 50 people in it. To be perfectly honest I was extremely nervous man. My hands were sweating and I felt like I was going to pass out. SRS. I even had a glass of Chivas 18 year with my brother before hand to help calm the nerves. I don't normally become emotional but when she walked through the door I almost shed a tear. All sorts of feels were had. After the ceremony the nerves went away and I had a few drinks on the party bus ride to the reception. The rest of the night was a blur because I was being fed shots and drinks all night. It was a blast.
We left for our honeymoon 2 days after the wedding . We spent a week in Punta Cana at the Iberostar Grand. It was filled with a bunch of awkward Euros but it was an interesting experience. I came home with swimmers ear in both ears. Which was extremely painful.
After the wedding it doesnt feel any different. The weirdest part for her is having my last name. Shes totally not used to it and seeing it written is kinda funny.
