    If you can squat ATG anything over 225lbs x 5 reps, I have mad respect for you srs

    I have seen one person at this non military gym (la fitness) over the past 9 months do a squat with a weight higher than that for legit reps...and it was a female (srs). Leads me to believe most miscers e-stat and ATG squatting at that weight is more respectable than the misc makes it out to be.

    ATG squats are overrated, you get a pretty good bounce when you go ATG so it just looks a lot harder than it really is.

    I'd say 315 or over true ATG is pretty impressive. I can get 275 5x ATG and I'm a smaller guy but I don't see many people IRL that can get 315

    lol @ pics. see those type of squats all the time at my gym then they would brag about squatting heavy. Any of you brahs tend to lean forward a bit while doing heavy high bar squats? I'm approaching my previous max again going below parallel but feel like I lean forward a bit while coming out of the hole

    Haven't squatted for a while just DL now but just before I stopped I could get 5 reps of 100kg just to parallel not ATG. But I weighed like 225lbs at the time so it's not as impressive. Squat and DL in socks only.

    Squatting has become such a fad now

    This is the bottom position of my squat - mid-bar position, feet shoulder width apart, long legs and short torso crew, and I believe that total weight was 385lbs for triples (Bumper plates and real plates).
    Currently Raising Money for; MS Society + Alzheimers UK
    Current Goals;
    - Run 150Km in 24 Hours
    - Run Marathon in Under 2:50
    - Run 1500m in (4.05 / 3.59)
    - Squat (200 / 220Kg) and Deadlift (222.5 / 250Kg)
