Hey guys, so I have been trying to bodybuild for 3 years on and off.
I am currently 125.6lbs @ 6 foot which is what I was when I first started.
To cut a long story short, the heaviest I have ever been was at 146 lbs on 4k calories a day and the scales stopped. So after a while when I realised I tried upping my calories to 6k for 2 weeks, and the scales still wouldn't move...
So recently I was speaking to this nutritionist student, and he told me to get my thyroid gland checked out. Got the results, had 4 different tests and they said my blood was normal. About a week later I spoke to someone else and they said try out sea kelp, done some research and purchased some.
Past few days my **** has been a bit more sloppy, which I believe is due to the bulking agent. I don't want to carry on taking it if my long term health would be worst from overdose of iodine because I also take a multivitamin, cod liver oil and vitamin C.
But my question is has anyone had a similar experience and has sea kelp actually worked? Currently taking 3 tablets a day (each tablet contains 150ug from 15mg of kelp extract. )

I have never used sea kelp for any kind of supplement purpose. You need to get back on the calorie surplus diet and when the scale stops moving you will need to increase your calories 200-300 above what your daily calories are calling for.

I would not rely on a supplement to help you gain weight. Weight gain is primarily a product of consistency eating in a caloric surplus. To be sure you are doing this, it is absolutely critical that you count calories and macronutrients every day. Weight gain via muscle gain is a slow process. It takes a long time and its a tough pill to swallow to understand that it might take several years to reach a physique you want.
I would head to the nutrition section and read all the nutrition stickies and follow the advice there to construct a good eating plan, Don't be afraid to ask questions here though as we are happy to help. Feel free to PM me if you have questions.Six Star Pro Nutrition Lead Rep

Obviously I did otherwise I would not say I done it. If I don't properly for a few days I will lose about 3 pounds just like that
I know that it is a marathon and you have to be consistant with everything you do in this sport. But like I said I've been trying to do this for 2 years, my results are as follows.
First year from September till about July I went from 124lbs to 135lbs @ 3500 calories a day
Then I was training in October but didn't focus on diet till January, which is where I went from 126lbs to about 144lbs in July at about 4k calories a day, even then my weight would fluctuate a lot, the highest number I saw on the scales was around 146.something
My point is not to rely on supplements, but to try at least figure out wtf is going on with my body and work around it.
I've tried just eating, iifym, high fat & protein, high carb. I've seen doctors about my diet and I've learnt more from here and research then what they told me.
I've also tried bodybuilding, implementing cardio into my routine, now I'm just training for strength because I don't want to burn as much calories during my work out.
The thing is most people here think I'm chatting **** and I'm not counting calories right or some **** like this "because it can't be I'm eating as much as I say I am at my weight, and I don't put weight on. EAT MORE!!!"
I wouldn't have posted here, if I didn't learn what I did a month back. Because I am running out of options.
Yeah I could probably stick to about 7k calories a day and I might start putting weight on again, but if this bodybuilding lifestyle is all about being health and happy, and I'm in the corner trying to stuff my face while being bloated, unhealthy and am unhappy. Then whats the point. I'm just asking for someone who implements Sea kelp in their diet or who has had a similar experience like me.
