About to share some common sense with most of you bros, but I think it's worth voicing what a lot of people already say.
1.) Avoid eating out regularly.
2.) Try not wasting money on things like Starbucks ,etc.
Both habits are easy to develop in high frequency, so over time you waste money due to volume. I cut out both the above more than two years ago and was able to put money down on a place.
Investment > habitual waste brahs.
Totally worth it.

ITT One of the Best Financial Decisions I Have Ever Made

On the topic of basic financial chit that a huge chunk of the population doesn't get: pay off your credit card every month, the full amount, not just the minimum payment or whatever, paying interest on your purchases is stupid as chit and makes everything more expensive. Credit cards can be really helpful for building up your credit score, collecting cash back/rewards, and ease of payment but they make all their money from retards who don't pay the full statement every month.

This is the biggest thing for me. I can't seem to bring myself to not eat out. I literally don't buy anything other than necessities. I haven't bought new clothes since March, I haven't bought new electronics since 2012, I haven't splurged on anything I don't need. Despite this, I'm constantly finding myself spending as much as $20-$50 a day on Chipotle, Starbucks, Panera, taking my girlfriend out to eat at restaurants, frozen yogurt, etc. and I justify it everytime because food and drinks are necessary to survive.
I sometimes get scheduled for short days at work in which I don't get a lunch and love it because that means $15 more dollars in my pocket that I would've otherwise spent going out to eat for lunch.

Small victories bruh. Take snacks and food with you. prepare a lunch. Things simple like that. It helps.
I know those feels.
5 bucks here. 5 bucks there, and before you know it, at the end of the week you've spent 30-40 bucks just going out to eat. In the span of a month, wasting like 160 bucks just going out." You're either motivated by a dream or a nightmare."

Aware me on the difference between having a debit card and a checking/savings account
Because I have a debit card, that also has a checking and savings account option whenever I go to the ATM, so how is that different from just going to the bank and opening up a checking/savings account.
Sorry for being full potato" You're either motivated by a dream or a nightmare."

Eat out about 3x a month. Bring lunch to work everyday.
$10 a day 5 days a week.
4 weeks a month
$200 a month in lunch alone for the people that have to eat out everyday"When you get a BS you think you know everything
When you get your MS you realize you know nothing
When you get your PhD you still realize you know nothing but it is ok because now you know no one else does either"

Blows my mind how bad people are with credit and money in general. I have a friend making $70,000 a year as a laborer in North Dakota, yet he's making monthly payments on his credit card which has around a ~$2,000 balance. PAY IT THE PHUCK OFF!
+1 to not eating out. $8-$12 a day adds up pretty damn quick.Union Strong. Workers are stronger together.
The GOP is a criminal organization who despises the middle class and working poor. Name one policy they have pushed for that increased worker pay, union strength, or worker influence in a corporation.
