nope no school. I have a bachelors in health science. I assume after i pass the test/physical there is police academy or atleast thats what they say in the website.

How did the lie detector test go? What kind of questions did they ask? What age do you think is the latest they'll let you become a deputy?

I'm looking to be a police officer here in Canada, gotta go to a Police Academy for like 8months. Looking to apply next year once I finish high school this year

haven't taken it yet just filled an application today. No interview until u are hired. Not sure but i believe 21+.

I believe academy here is 18 weeks i am unsure. which is about 4.5 months. I hope its paid

correct long shot. But i did some research work on alb and seems like one of the worst cities to live in, let alone be a cop there.

Good job OP that's where I'm heading after University. Also stay away from the law enforcement thread on here, it will give you a very bitter taste in your mouth towards law enforcement.

Depends on the city. Some you need an Associates degree in something, anything...Other citys require at least a bachelor....And some cities you can actually just do 2 years of jailer / dispatcher and it counts as a an associates degree and you can go into the academy. That was my original plan. I tried to be a dispatcher at 18, made it pretty far into the higher process and then the sergeant said to me "Go to the military and come back when you're 25"

not really bad but they again i live no where close to the downtown. I just went there to fill an application was 45 mins away. The reason why they want u to fill in person is some police officer need to witness it or whatever they call it and ask u bunch of questions. Not interview questions.

like did you get a ticket recently, have u used illegal drugs stuffs like that.

Being Detroit, I'm assuming there will be a required minority hiring %. Seeing that you're the wrong shade, what are your chances?

Even detroit/baltimore, etc. it's hard as phuck as 1000 people apply, only 3 get in. It's hard to get into Govt jobs, esp LE. Your easiest option is MP in the military or travel to bumphuck nowhere and apply to a PD no one applies to.

Your assumptions would be incorrect. They are actually looking for more young/white officer candidates.

By law, the city has to hire a certain % of minority applicants to fill the open positions. That's how it works here in Chicago. If not enough pass the test, then the entire test can be thrown out for being biased against minority applicants SRS

no not white. indian. People i saw there was all black though i did not see a single white person tbh.
