the CNN link was just a list of the 25 deadliest mass shootings. not an op-ed piece. date of shooting, number of people killed, location, shooter. list could have come from anywhere. I google searched and it came up.

I don't believe any of the people in those shootings had been committed to a mental institution. so they could have legally owned the guns. again....mass shootings are most often done by law abiding citizens with no priors.

so the Sandy Hook guy got his guns from his mom....no big deal there since he could have legally purchased them himself - it was just more convenient to swipe 'em.

again....no criminal priors and he would not have been barred from owning them:

not sure what your point is...he lived with his mom and had access to her firearms. he didn't "steal" them - he lived there with her and she trained him on how to use firearms.
