his point was not valid. The majority of Chicago gun violence is tied to a criminal element. I addressed the root cause there - drugs and gangs (who get their power from drugs). Gangs are not "law abiding citizens". I was discussing gun violence committed by the non-criminal element.

But again, no solutions are being offered, which is sad. More people will die, and you are ok with that - Because if you weren't, you'd start talking about ways to change the path we're on instead of crossing our fingers and hoping for the best. I'm not ok with that. But I guess I just love my family too much. I want a safer world for them.

I've offered my opinions/suggestions in the past and I still stand by the things I've said. (rif.org as you're so fond of posting). Unlike you, I've been there done that in many regards and my opinion is based on my experience. While it doesn't make my opinion any more important than your opinion, I personally feel I have a better grasp on gun violence than you and when I speak I speak from that experience not some visceral reaction to stats and news stories.

I do that in front of the BB rack. But only if theres like no one in the area at the time.

saw Hunger Games 3 this past weekend with the wife. kinda wished we would have seen interstellar instead. it was kind of a let down. weakest of the 3 movies so far. hope #4 is better.
