    Squatting Problem (Help Needed)

So I have just started out weight lifting however I have been having trouble squatting. I'm not sure how to fix it so if any of you guys have or had this problem help would be much appreciated. So when I try to squat no matter how thin or wide my stance is I tend to loose balance as I get closer to the ground. My only way around this is to lift my heels up. I have search it up and apparently I may have bad ankle mobility. So is there any way I can fix this preferably without equipment.

    (Other Details
    - I am able to squat when I am able to hold on to something like a door handle.
-I also tried using a barbell out in front of me to counter weight me going off balance and I was able to squat.

Thanks guys hope you can help me out.

You mentioned that you were able to squat with a barbell so that should pretty much be

Besides that you could also try squatting with plates under your heels. I've never really used this technique but it could be something to use in the process of working on the ankle mobility. Good luck to you

Thanks mate for the tips I will try out the plates under heel however when I say with a barbell I mean hanging it out straight in front of me not on my shoulders.

Whoops. Sorry. Missed that little nugget. I've also tried with not much success, front squats. Maybe I just haven't worked them enough but that's another option.

Yeah front squats don't seem to work for me either.

Google "starrett ankle mobility". He's got loads of stuff on fixing your ankles to squat properly.
