Yeah the beta was pretty dull. There were some new videos of the multiplayer up recently though and they looked great. Still hyped for the singleplayer, looks awesome

While I'm hyped for it, I'm a little bit sketched out about it. They didn't give any copies to reviewers... could this be a sign that they're not confident with the product? Or did they just want to limit the chances of leaks?

EDIT: Just saw this statement:

So basically they want the game's multiplayer and SnapMap modes to be judged in the reviews, which couldn't be done since the servers are down until launch.

you silly! Its an id game, bethesda is the publisher. Its going to be as bug free as wolfenstein which from what I remember had none during my 3 play throughs. You both love and hate Bethesda dont you!?

I love their games and hate the way in which they sell then in a half-assed, bug-riddled state. If Id actually developed it though then I'm sure it'll be fine/near fine.

I guess it was rhetorical I definitely know how you feel about Bethesda....Yeah, MAchine games did Wolfenstein so probably why it was well put together. I would expect nothing but greatness from id.

The MP beta did nothing for me, other than a brush of nostalgia from my childhood. As I said in another Doom thread, I grew up playing Doom and Unreal Tournament, but my tastes have changed over the years and I just didn't have a lot of fun this time. I'll probably pick it up once it's on sale for the single player aspect, and a bit of MP just to **** around with.

The gameplay also looks too fast-paced like CoD. Half the reason Doom was good is the creepy element where you could die fast and dark spooky environments you walked slow through.

Played 90 min of the SP so far. It's WAY better than I expected. Easily one of the best shooters of the year so far.

You can get the game, as well as the demon multiplayer pack, for $32.99 if you get it off cdkeys and use the code DOOM666 I believe.

If you go there make sure you pursue the paypal method though, wanna be safe and secure.

You can even download, install, and unpack it too to play it early if you use a VPN, otherwise just wait the extra hour and a half.

Assuming you're talking about Doom 3, as the first two werent scary at all.

I've used it a couple times so far, and G2A as well. I've installed games bought on it to both Uplay and Steam and so far I haven't had any issues... To the best of my knowledge, keys from these sites aren't "stolen" or anything, so there's no reason for Steam to mess around. I've personally never heard of anyone having issues with cdkeys or G2A, ever.

I have the Newegg membership, so it came out to an even $44.99, but if you want the digital version there is a code 20OFF that works with Doom on Greenmangaming, but it's only 20% off. They've updated their site so it doesn't seem to kick you out of the checkout if you leave it for 15 minutes (I haven't been their in a long time, mind you). G2A is another option I can vouch for after getting Mad Max cheap as hell on release with the preorder bonus included.

Game is absolutely hnnnnnnnnnggggggg!!!! Far exceeded my expectations. Graphics are insane too. Running with all settings on ultra @ a solid 60fps at 4K on dual Titan X's. The audio design is intense.

Best £21 I ever spend - bought it from cdkeys and redeemed the code on steam with no issues.
