everything is fine with the rifle I know it shoots, it just might be because it's so new I just need to break it in.
I'm going to the range tomorrow anyway to throw some rounds downrange with and my pistols.
EDIT: Basically what's happening is after I clean it and put clp on the bolt I always rack is back 3-5 times to just get it moving, it's just getting stuck for a sec before moving back forward. I think it just needs to be broken in more.

All gas is pretty much the same.
Difference in octane is negligible at ur pump. The reason for high octane is to prevent pre-combustion in high compression engines. Read 11 to 1.
Ethanol content grows drastically with the age of the gas. Local pumps with stickers that say "less than 10% ethanol" are closer to 30% when u pump it in ur ride. And the older the gas, the higher the ethanol.

You're just using similar triangles. Post C is just to line yourself up on. When you line the "dots" from the 10x1 triangle up with posts A and B, you will be 25 yards from post A. If you make the distance between A and B 10 yds, then you would be 100 yds away when you lined them up. Pretty easy stuff, and you don't need to do any crazy math or drag a 300 yd tape measure behind you.

11-20-2014, 10:01 PM #7971Friday night. Date night in Miami. Every night is a date night in Miami, and everyone's having sex. But for me, sex never enters into it. I don't understand sex. Not that I have anything against women, and I certainly have an appropriate sensibility about men, but when it comes to the actual act of sex, it's always just seemed so undignified. But I have to play the game.

I always break in barrels by spitting down them. Once i see the saliva makes contact with the bolt, i pull the trigger.

To the long range shooters
I have done the research and I haven't decided but I am either going to buy the savage axis heavy barrel or pay the extra for the Remington 700 in .223 either way I will get some sort of Leopold optic.
Theses are my choices as a beginner with little knowledge on the subject. Can anyone recommend from their experience any other good guns to check out for long range in .223 preferably with a heavy barrel?
Also what are your personal opinions on long range optics? Just trying to find other options to look at before I make my final decision.
I have a navy sniper friend who will be teaching me everything and he just recommended a rem 700 with a 1:7 twist rate but I thought it's worth it to get everyone's opinion.
Thanks

AR500 brahs... quick question... it already comes with the Line-x base coat correct? you only need the build-up ($25 extra) if you want more line-x than what it comes with right?
