Interesting. everywhere i've worked we can always call ourselves engineers. most ME's don't even get a PE unless they go to bus for themselves.
buddy in ID did get in trouble for calling his business "blahblah Engineering". the state gave him a time period to either change the name or get a PE so he got his PE.Axe, author of "No Limits - No Regrets"

I have an MS and my offical title is Structural ENGINEER III, but they made me change my email signature to say "civil/structural engineerING". It's really confusing because they constantly refer to us all as engineers anyways and frankly I don't know what else to call myself if I am speaking to a client.
BRB a client asks if I'm an engineer, I'm supposed to reply "I do engineering work"... I just answer yes*MFC*

being structural, a PE is a lot bigger deal. gotta stamp everything. For ME's, they rarely want employees to have a PE, too much liability.
Designers is a dangerous label, don't use it on linkedin. after two years as poverty chopper builder in ghetto, i was hired as an "application engineer". started doing proposals, managed millions of dollars worth of projects, but career advisor said i was hosed since it didn't say PM on my resume. once i got the Sr. PM title like i should, was easier to skate. gotta always think of that next step.Axe, author of "No Limits - No Regrets"

Attempted to wrap my NPAP's stock with paracord last night. Definitely not perfect, but think it's pretty decent for my first attempt. Definitely gives it a nicer feel shouldering and aiming.
