I think that PSA makes a pretty good rifle for the cost. I also think that they have good customer service once you actually manage to get a hold of someone. Their shipping is better, but still hit or miss. I think that the main issue that PSA is facing is that right now, building a complete PSA rifle with an MBUS Pro rear, blemmed PSA carbine-length upper, and blemmed PSA MOE lower is $630 and building that same rifle with a BCM non-blem midlength upper (with an MOE handguard instead of standard handguard) is $775.
As long as BCM is running the "free BCG" deal, there's not much point putting together a PSA rifle unless you're looking at a .308

Nothing wrong with an inexpensive blem stripped lower receiver.
Yup.
Those ~$880 Colts don't help matters either, though the BCM is a better deal at the moment IMO, since it's less $ and you can get a mid length or do an immediate upgrade by getting one with a nice rail

In my view PSA is okay for range only practice/plinking rifle, but Id rather have something of higher quality for HD purpose. BCM has such good deals that I wont by PSA again anyways.

Took some co workers to the range today. Pretty good day minus the cold and wind. I got a chance to shoot a Ruger sr9. I was shocked at how nice the trigger was. I have to admit it was better than my glock except for the reset. Short travel, no mush, and a nice clean break. Definitely one of the better factory triggers I have pulled
Anyone else shooting this weekend?

Thanks for the input guys,I'm on my phone so can't multi quote. I didn't notice that nikon was the rimfire model. I will check out the scopes you guys also suggested. I'm on a budget and don't want to pay more for a scope than i did the rifle,i gotta a good deal on the rifle brand new. I will be using it to hunt deer, elk etc her in Arizona in the desert, brush, and forest.

Anyone here aware me on vehicle dvd players? Preferably ones that go over a headrest.
Or if you have experience with any brands with in-dash or overhead models. Most of the manufacturers I see that make them I am not familiar with.We don't rise to the occasion, we fall to our level of training.

Tell her how you're going to do it, if she's smart, she won't require any coaxing.
You: I want to put together another upper and I was thinking about piecing it together like $50 or so at a time.
Wife: That sounds reasonable, it'll be easier to absorb small amounts at time than to lay out a bunch of cash at once.
Y: Hey, now that I think about it, I think I can actually do one better. I'll actually save money by not having to pay a whole bunch of different shipping charges for multiple transactions if I just put the $50 or so at a time into a savings account/coffee can/whatever and make the purchase all at once several months from now.
W: You're right, paying for shipping once a month for small parts will add up. Thank you for being thrifty and thinking about our budget. Would you like some pussy?
Y: Yes.MFC

Soooo . . . eventually she sees the rofl though, right? And wonders "hmmmm . . . where did that come from?" Seems a path to resentment. Maybe just sit down and map it all out with the costs/savings and pros/cons of purchasing in one shot vs piecemeal and make an argument for what works best?
Just my 2 cents. Obviously you know your relationship best, so take that for what it's worth. But doing it in a way that "she won't notice" seems like the road to some heartburn later, unless you plan on hiding the gun from her. If the cash outlay is the core problem then it'll be a worse problem if you try to keep it a secret and she catches it later.*MFC Elder Statesmen Cabinet Crew*

Anyone in L.A. familiar with the process of getting a handgun? Every shop I look at looks like a ghost town. Not sure who to talk to?
