He's saying that guns don't kill people....people kill people,
similar in the way that cars don't kill people...people behind the wheel making poor decisions in cars kill people.
So he's saying that if this country is going to bich about guns and gun control 24/7, why aren't they biching about cars being an issue.
Because with cars....people are actually smart enough and focus on the people behind the wheel(drunk driving, bad decisions, falling asleep at the wheel etc.) They are willing to put the blame on the individual and not the car.
But with guns...people don't blame the person behind the killings or shootings, and instead blame the gun...for being a gun.
That's what he is getting at, my friend." You're either motivated by a dream or a nightmare."

Under the constitution it is my right to bear arms so I will do so man. I have it for my protection and a hobby. I would use it to defend myself, my friends and neighbors and id defend the constitution if the government ever tried to do something foolish. In actually a part of a small militia group on ******** for southeastern ohio that pledge to serve the constitution and defend it

Ehh I just own guns because I like to go into the woods, set up targets at different distances, and shoot them. That's pretty fun.
People who haven't shot a gun before won't understand the respect gun owners have for guns and why we are responsible enough to not be stupid with our firearms." You're either motivated by a dream or a nightmare."

You're right...you don't hear about people driving cars through school hallways.
But you hear about people drunk driving cars into buildings, apartments, street poles, other people, other cars. You hear about people falling asleep behind the wheel driving into off ramps, walls, and everything else. You hear about people on drugs driving behind the wheel, driving in the opposite side of the road etc..So it's apples to apples in comparison.
Can you keep a car in your pocket? nope, so it's relative in relation to its use.
If I lay my gun down on the ground and say " Hey gun, shoot someone." Well....it's not going to do anything, but people still want to blame guns.
The people that shoot up schools and other places are not gun owners. They are psychopaths. Most people who owns guns who are not gang members are responsible gun owners who have a healthy respect for their firearms and are well articulated in the know-hows of it all, the ins and outs of the weapons, the distance the bullet travels, the kick, the make etc.
You're right, a lot of people don't understand the obsession with owning firearms, and that's ok, because I don't stockpile 25 semi-automatic weapons in my closet either, and neither do 99% of the gun owning population." You're either motivated by a dream or a nightmare."

For the above argument, when I was first put behind the wheel of a car, my dad told me, "this is a weapon. Use it wisely." Obviously, it has uses. His can be applied to firearms, but when the law limits your rights on specific types of firearms (dont know exactly here), they lose practicality. I guess an assault rifle can be compared to a racing car that is not street legal

Whatever the case, you have no need for an assault rifle in your home.
If you're looking to be a responsible gun owner and own a gun for self defense, I use a standard issue M-9 Berretta, similar to the ones FBI uses. It's not cheap. You can also just look online for standard self defense small firearms, go to a gun store and they will help you." You're either motivated by a dream or a nightmare."

It's not banned for hunting at all. In ohio you can hunt anything with it except deer. Explain why they won't fair in a lawsuit? You come in my house your getting 2 rounds atleast in the chest. U can pick, AR, 870 or my .40. If I can prove my grounds that I felt that my life was in danger and yu are a threat, your going down anyway possible
