Big Jay fan here. Love his physique and the freaky mass in his prime showings. That being said, I think Jay has an edge over Phil really only in the size dept. Phil has for me, a more eye pleasing, conditioned and aesthetic physique overall. Just my 2 cents.
It's really 2 different types of epic physiques and I think saying one is better than the other is kind of a never ending debate. I'm a big fan of both, but they're very different looks.Lee Priest for President

Not only size, but width as well. Condition may be close, but Jay is better condition from the front. I dont want to look like anybody else, but i will go with Jay if thats the case, esp 2001 Jay looks.

Jay tends to be underrated because he spent his prime in Ronnie's shadow, but that Jay wouldn't get beaten today. He was the only one who could get close to the best bodybuilding freak ever and beat the rest of the greats from the 90s-early 2000s (except Dorian who was retired).

Jay's back and arms just cant hang with phil's. I dont care how wide he is. Ruhl and Kjellström was on the same stage. And Jay has never been in the condition Phil consistently brings

Jay Arms in 2001 is just freaky. There is nothing wrong with Jay arms. And Phil arms are just overpowering hes body. But of course he is the golden boy, he should win, no matter how bad and pregnant he is. And i dont see how Phil beat best Jay in condition aspect. Its close, but still there is other factor, so Jay will outmass/width Phil and still be at superb condition.

We know phil would have better condition. What it isn't that noticeable in those kind of comparisons is size difference.
