    well 2 lbs per month starting from my contest condition of 155, so i know i wasn't gonna be gaining all muscle anyway.

    but the point i was trying to make was I'm confused on why i lost a good amount of strength/size even though im eating more now. i did reduce protein by 25g and stopped all supps except protein but didn't think it'd be that drastic

    From personal experience , force feeding shot my weight up fast but also resulted in loads of fat gains (chit loads) , considering one uses no "supplementation" its probably not the best idea . Might be different from person to person

    i'm force feeding but not trying to gain a ton of mass. I'm only increasing carbs like 10g per week, very slow gains

    1 little example, 6 months ago I was curling 60 lb dumbbells eating around 220p/380c/70f. Took a few months off b/c a pec problem. Been back in the gym for 2 months, I can only curl 40 lbs while eating 200p/450c/80f. Why are my biceps so weak now when they weren't even injured to begin with yet I'm eating more.

    I was making continual progress up until the injury, no plateau at all.

    i didn't think protein intake would be that much of a factor but maybe it is. plus maybe added stress has gotten me weaker, as well as only working out 1x per week instead of 2. idk

    sorry sammy, i didn't mean to come off as snapy (woke up a bit grumpy)

    look man, this bodybuilding thing... it ebs and flows. Its like life; you can't always expect results to go the way you want them to, and you can't always force them either. Yet, just like life, it surprises you in ways that you don't expect.

    Maybe that physique gives you respect and admiration from people in ways you don't realize until someone says something? Maybe your commitment to lifting has actually built a group of people who reach out to you and try to support your well-being?

    Whatever direction you eb and flow is, letting go of looking at everything that isn't going as expected and starting to look more around you at what you are achieving is going to feel better

    Your strength will return in time. If you took a "few" months off (3 or more) and have only been back 2 months, it can take time to regain strength et. As stated, your size will usually return somewhat faster than your strength (at least in most cases, including mine). Overall strength, technique and muscle mass can deterioriate in relatively short time periods, even body parts that were/are healthy, like your biceps for example.

    Anybody have pics of Levrone from several months after Mr O where he stopped lifting to give his body a break from the supplements and focus on music? Would be interesting to see how small he got before blowing the fuk up again.

    . you're probably right. i need better time management skills. i've been avoiding going more than 1x b/c it takes a lot of time, plus i literally end up spending my entire day trying to get macros in.

    now im doing once a week.. for like 3.5 hours. (upper and lower) so i work biceps/triceps/delts/chest/back/hammies/quads/glutes lol. pretty stupid i know but it gives me the most time to study on weekends.

    can't see what the pic is of. a lot of guys only work out one body part per week, i didn't expect strength loss from it

    Dang son. Not only that but a 3.5 marathon workout is just counterproductive for building muscle. We all know that testosterone helps us to build muscle, Cortisol does the opposite. It is a catabolic hormone that reduces protein synthesis and prevents tissue growth.

    It is after about 1 hour or so of lifting when testosterone levels begin to drop and Cortisol levels begin to rise. This of course is a bad combination and is why any good muscle building routine can be completed in about an hour or so.
