    Weight drops and rises?

I'm sure there is a simple reason for this but I don't get why my weight drops and rises so much.. I use the same scale (gym scale) every time. I was 170 Monday.. Then I maxed a deadlift and now it's Wednesday and I'm 168.. I also went from 15% bf to 16% in these couple of days. Any explanation?

What method of calculating bf % has you convinced it's accurate to within 1%? There isn't any method that accurate.

When it comes to weighing yourself, pick a time of day and only measure your weight at that time. For me, I think the only ideal time is after emptying my bladder right after waking up in the morning (since it's always at the same time).

Then, track your weight over a period of a couple weeks, or at least a week. It is very common for weight to vary as much as 3-5 lbs in a 24 hr period. This happens to me quite often actually.

Lots of factors go into this. Salt consumption, water intake, dairy intake, cardio just to name a few. I would tell you to take your weight once a week on the same day at the same time and use the mirror to gauge your progress not the scale. Forget the little things and focus on the big things. Is your diet right? Is your training program right? Is your sleep right? If you can honestly answer yes to all three then the scale will definately fluctuate but thats a good thing bro.... its kind of the point.

Exactly! WHY your weight does what it does really isn't important. More important like he ^ said is that you are doing things right and that the weight on the bar keeps going up
