Are SBD Knee Sleeves good for running?
I'm planning to order a pair of knee sleeves. I have had rehbands and the reason I like them is because I can use them for lifting, running, whatever. They just keep my joints warm without affecting my ability to bend/move and also without cutting off circulation.
Just wondering if SBD Knee Sleeves are good for movement or running? Or are they only good for lifting?
Thanks

with the torqued design and the fact that they are meant to be really tight I would vote against running in them. If you got them looser then they would probably be ok to run in but not nearly as effective for squatting

According to most posts on here, SBDs are good for everything from combing your hair to making a delicious paleo-friendly vintage low-carb omelet out of duck billed platypus eggs.
That said, running in them would be weird.637/390tng/615 - belt/wraps, best gym lifts.

Haha, yea man people need cardio. Even if it's not running, people do sprints with sled pulls or pushes. It's all part of GPP. It doesn't help to be huge if you get gassed out walking up 3 flights of stairs. I was about to buy another pair of Rehbands, but got interested in SBDs because so many people were talking about it. I didn't want to spend $90 and only be able to use it for one thing. Need multipurpose sleeves haha.
What about the elbow sleeves? I plan to use them when I row as well because my elbow is jacked up.

I finally got SBD knee sleeves and I'll give my thoughts, I previously used the original blue rhebands. The SBD's are only marginally better than the rhebands, they fit a little better because of the extra length which is a good thing. As far as feel when you are squatting they are similar.

SBDs during training
I'm getting ready to order a pair of SBD sleeves soon and I was wondering if they'd stretch or anything if I wore them during my training cycle. I'm going to buy them a size smaller like everyone recommends and I want to take advantage of the small amount of extra rebound you get from them. Should I just keep using my Tommy Konos during training and save the SBD's for the last weeks leading up to the meet and meet day?

I just got my new SBD knee sleeves. They are incredible!
However, I have a concern: I squat everyday. Do you think it's worth buying another knee sleeve (like Rehband) for regular use and save SBD for heavy squat days and meets or can I use SBD everyday? Will they last forever with everyday use?
I mean: if I could afford both Rehband and SBD, do you think it's worth having both or only SBD is enough?
Thank you very much guys!

SBD sleeves are great. In this video you can see me comfortably squatting 525 ATG / front squatting 385 ATG with these bad boys. Though I've lost over 100 lbs from the time I first ordered and wore them (you'll see that they're a little loose , they warm the knees up great! I give them 10/10 for sure.

That is a good question. It definitely won't have the same negative effects of overusing knee wraps, but I'm sure it will be a slight crutch. I always train in them and have for over a year now. I use it because of poor technique in the past and now have anterior knee pain (AKP) in my right knee, which the SBD sleeve alleviates. Maybe you could treat it as a belt: use the knee sleeves on =/<5 RM sets and go without on all warm-up/working load sets.

Serious question... the only reason why I would throw down 90 dollars is if there is even the slighest carryover. Do these carryover some lb'ge, or is it all a bunch of mental placebo crp. I'm a college student, I wouldn't mind spending this much if it does indeed increase lbs, cause if not I'll just buy a cheaper pair of sleeves.

I personally feel like I get some poundage out of them. I'm not sure if its from the rebound of the material, or because my squat just feels way better and more fluid when I'm wearing them (and my knees feel better as well). If you get them tighter they will likely add a bit more. I got mine 1 size down from the tight fit measurement if I remember correctly. Some go 2 down but they will be a struggle to put on, especially before they're worn in a bit.
