    Adding Calories - Help

hi there, I have been given the advice from my PT to help me build muscle and bulk and when I am working with him 3 x a week (uptil Christmas) - As I get busy with other commitments (easier to ensure I get a bare minimum that way!) he says that I have to take in 3000 calories (1.7x my normal calorie intake for no movement)

Is there any advice on easy straightforward food I can eat that is high in calories but not wrong - [as I can think of plenty that is wrong! - hehe]

    Many thanks in advance

    Martin

Why does he think you should consume 3,000 calories?

If he's trying to increase your caloric intake by 70%, and you're currently weight stable, you need to find a different personal trainer (preferably one that is competent).

this should give you a reasonable estimate of your caloric needs.

As for foods to not eat, avoid those with industrial trans fats. What does your current diet look like? Can you give us a total amount of calories and macros?

I take in currently on average 2,400 calories (ish)
    Protein - 140-150g
    Carbs - 200g
    Fats 90g

I am gaining/losing no weight on 2,400 (since the last time I weight myself - 9st 6lbs) 2x PT (Higher challenge) then 2x Gym.

I just get confused by all of this....

    Thanks for the advice
