How many Grams in 1 Cup STEVIA in the Raw sweetener?

I've been searching the web for over a month every time a recipe has come up calling for 1/2cup sweetener or 1 cup etc.

Can't find anything besides conversion charts and I thought I'd finally just make a thread and see if anyone here knew how many Grams in 1 cup?

I don't have measuring cups but have a scale so that is how I measure food. Please help me, thanks!

Did a search. Took me less than a minute.

    1 cup = +-200grams.

Nice, source? I still can only find conversion charts to other types of sugar, even if I search with "200g" in it

You can't simply convert, 1 cup is different in g for many different substances depending on the density.

    You are making things complicated.

Google "how much is 1cup of sugar in grams"

    Red face

Just have to bump to see if anyone has a source or knows if this is the official measurement?

Yesterday I was making a cheesecake that claled for 1.5 cups, or according to this topic 175g, that is ALOTTT of stevia. like it almost filled my giant bowl. In the video I watched it didn't look liek that much out of a measuring cup. So just making sure

Also, just checked a Stevia web page and found that 1 Teaspoon Stevia = .5g
theres 48 tespoons in a cup, so 1 cup would actualy be 24g
    not 200.

edit: also a different says 4g per teaspoon, which would be 192g per cup which sounds more accurate.

either way Lol at getting negged by MetilHed for "math" when he was the one that was wrong.

Bump again, anyone know if 192g of stevia = 1 cup is legit? still seems like quite a bit! And I bake with it nearly every day so I need to know

When baking, 24g looks ALOT closer. Anyone who uses those big bags of Stevia in the Raw may agree

Been searching for weeks to months now, still can't find an answer and don't have a measuring cup to check. Stevia is definitely lighter and less dense than normal sugar so you can't simply go by grams of sugar in a cup.

Anyone bake with Stevia in the Raw and use a scale to measure food? Can you tell me how many grams 1 cup or 1/2 cup is?

There's literally zero answers for this on the web.

I don't have a measuring cup, I just look up different foods weight in grams or ounces online when a recipe calls for cups. I didn't think finding this one would be so difficult

How is a serving size of Stevia measured on whatever container nutrition label you have? If it's a volume measurement, you can just extrapolate into cups...

    Unhappy

Lol kind of annoying people are being jerks and saying it's so simple. If it is so sime why not simply post the answer?

I still can't find an exact answer and it sucks! The package of Stevia in the Raw days

    1 tsp is "about .5g"
I can't find out how many tsp of Stevia are in a cup.

If I go by the standard sugar measurement of tsp per cup it's 48, which means it'd be 24g stevia per cup. But I also saw stevia =2 calories a gram" and also 4 cal a gram..

Going with 4 cal per gram and 24 grams per cup, that is
96 calories. But I have been told it is actually only 84 calories a cup.

Can someone ease give an exact answer and source? (Reps!)

I literally cut and paste your question into google and found on the official stevia in the raw website (first link) says less than 4 cals per gram. If you're cutting, just play safe and count it as 4cals/gram since they could be saying 3.98 cals is less than 4 calories. (It's pretty marginal anyway).

I'll let you do the math per 100g. Hopefully it's better than your googling skills.

Edit: seriously just go to the dollar store and buy a set of measuring cups/spoons. If this is your daily struggle I imagine it'll be the best $1 you've ever spent.

    So let's get this straight:

    • You fancy yourself to be a cook of sorts
    • You follow recipes
    • You post in cooking/recipe threads
    • You, apparently, actually cook

Yet ... don't own a measuring cup. Which in itself is:

But the real "WTF?" part is, having been faced with this issue for months, you still won't obtain the one complex engineering device that would solve your Scoobey-Doo case:

...yields the answer to calories-by-weight and calories-by-volume issues anyway:

I'd just much rather use my scale than a measuring cup/spoons, it's a lot more accurate. And I knew it was under 4 cal/g, I just wanted to know if it was 4 or 2 since in large quantities thats twice the calories. Which adds up over the months.

Also nice formatting/post to BeauFlexington. But it still doesn't answer my question. See above sentence. Also please link me to where it says how many grams of Stevia in the Raw are in a cup. (No need to make an image of the link in ms paint either)

Also nice formatting/post to BeauFlexington. But it still doesn't answer my question. See above sentence. Also please link me to where it says how many grams of Stevia in the Raw are in a cup. (No need to make an image of the link in ms paint either)

Hey can I ask you something? What is your problem?
If you search "How many grams are in a cup of Stevia in the Raw, you get pages and pages of "conversion charts" that have nothing to do with the question and that's it.
If I went and baught a measuring cup, I'd use it one time and pour it onto the scale and never use it again, waste of 5$ when someone can just post a number for free. But money isnt evne an issue, I'd get a vastly dif measurment every time depending on how packed down the stevia was, its quite lose and fluffy. I'd jut like a solid answer for how many g in cup

There are instructions on the bottom, Chef. Put your stevia in the cup, then turn it over and follow the steps for granularity differential.

OP is the eggshell calories guy right? i'm glad that you've spent so much time thinking about this when $2.00 could buy you a set of measuring cups with which to measure many things.

    weigh 8 oz of water

mark on the glass where the water line goes: that's 1 cup.

drink and then dry the glass, and fill to the line with stevia

weigh the stevia, let this thread die.

How could anyone possibly tell you ? Every cup measured and weighed by anyone, anywhere, would be vastly different depending on how packed down the stevia was, its quite loose and fluffy. How could you possibly get a better answer that way ? You can't trust all of these heavy handed stevia packers.

Then he'll have to go buy a glass. And a marker.

you guys are cool and funny nice good idea with the water though i hate you metil

and yes i was wondering if you should weigh the shell back when I was eating normal eggs. Now I just use eggwhites from the carton, but if I counted the shell for every eggwhite i ate I'd have a very innacurate result by now. I've also consistently lost a pound a week for the past 5-6 months.
