I think Dex is the role model for what bodybuilding should be. He never took it too far, was always a competitor and is by far the most consistent bodybuilder I know of. He's a legend in my books

If Dexter Jackson ever claims to be the best ever, it wouldn't be THAT crazy.
I mean, he's been Top 6 at the Olympia for what? Over a decade?
4-time Arnold Classic Champion.
2008 Mr. Olympia.
Master's Olympia.
Has won a ton of shows.
I mean...in terms of overall career accomplishments, he's one of the greatest. And if anyone, or Dex himself, says he's the greatest...it's not THAT out there.
And he'll AGAIN finish in the Top 6 at the 2015 O.

I don't know if Larf is right or not.. but I can tell you some things that counter what your question/points were.
That type of oil is actually put under the muscle belly and also very deep into the muscle.. pushing the real muscle upward and out. This keeps the definition and density of the muscle fibers because the oil is nowhere near the surface of the skin. Bruising is something that happens at first but it goes away over time. Also properly timed administration leaves no bruising.. and if there was.. a little tanning oil would cover it up.
So in summary, proper administration enhances the popping contrast effect (does not distort the muscle), keeps the definition and ripped to shreds look and doesn't cause bruising.
Have I ever used it? No... but friends of mine in person have and I have learned a lot about it from experienced people online and also a pro bodybuilder.
I don't know if Dexter is using it or not, but you can't determine that he isn't based on the criteria in your post. Hope it is good info to possibly dispel some myths going forward.
(This oil is not illegal and sometimes compromised of coconut oil (MCT) and silica) so I am not speaking about anything illegal in this section to clarify.

Like others have stated, not the greatest, but definitely up there. He's definitely one of my favorites and continues to blow me away every time I see him. I couldn't believe when he won in '08, just one of those things I never saw happening. Glad he got his due, finally; He's had a hell of a career. Someone posted that comparison pic of him when he started and more recent and I just shake my head every time I see it.

Dex of course is a Mr. Olympia, but he is like of like Dickerson and Samir, in that he just squeezed in between champions and won one. Nothing stands out.
He is great in terms of conditioning and has a phenomenal look, but when you compare him to the best bodybuilders of all time, he just doesn't stack up very well.
Dorian, Phil, Kai, Ronnie, Jay, Cormier, Wheeler, Shawn Ray, Levrone, Nasser, Dillet, Victor....all will have longer lasting legacies, because they physiques were just more impressive.
Don't think I am hating on Dex AT ALL, I love the guy, but as far as Mr. Olympias go, he is pretty low down on that totem pole.

Interesting points. I suppose that you could also say that Dex won an O in '08 because Jay was "off" that year as look what Jay came back with in '09 at 100% but at the end of the day, I'm also not taking anything away from Dex because an O win is about being the best on stage at that time regardless as to how your competition comes in, in terms of them dialling it in to their full potential or coming in "off" et.
But had Dex not won an O, I think he would definitely be up there with Levrone, Flex and Ray as "uncrowned O winners" so I think it's great that he won one.THE LEVRONE 2016 MR. OLYMPIA COMEBACK

In the pic posted, I personally would give Dex waist, shoulders, and arms. They have better shape and are still appropriate mass-wise for his frame.
I'd give Ronnie Chest, Lats, Traps, and debateably Quads - its hard to judge but it looks like Ronnie has more separation in them. It's not about where you are today, but what you're doing right now, to build a better you for tomorrow. - Me

Being the greatest bodybuilder, no. It's like a sprinter who only won one race but placed well in others against someone who won 8 races in a row.
To me he is right there with Shawn Ray, Vince Taylor, Flex Wheeler, and MR 125 pound dumbells in your face.. baby.
That synthol in the calves kinda knocks him down a rung. Now if he competes at a solid level for 4 more years then I am open to that possibility.Smarten up? NO! SPARTAN UP!

Do you mean why Ronnie, or why did I say debateably?
To the former, because it appears he has more separation, to the latter because the camera angle is more straight on for Ronnie and offset for Dexter. So its possible that he had similar separation in his left quad - right wasn't tensed - and we just couldn't see it. Dexter isn't one to be off in conditioning, and size wise based on their respective frames, Dex has impressive quads to his body size and balances his physique well. It's not about where you are today, but what you're doing right now, to build a better you for tomorrow. - Me
