Halle Berry says she's paying too much child support

It seems as though Halle Berry is fed up with her ex Gabriel Aubry living off the child support she’s required to pay him. According to TMZ, Berry pays Aubry $16,000 a month for their daughter, Nahla, even though they have joint custody.

Berry recently filed court documents asking a judge to reduce the monthly payment to $3,000, saying that Aubry isn’t working and is comfortable living off child support. According to the report, Berry feels that Aubry shouldn’t have any problem finding a job and is abusing the system.

Berry has been paying Aubry the $16,000-a-month payment since June, when a Los Angeles judge also signed off on the custody dispute over the 6-year-old. In addition to the monthly payment, Berry was also required to pay a retroactive amount of $115,000 and $300,000 in Aubry’s attorney fees.

Berry, 47, gave birth to Nahla in 2008 after dating Aubry for two years. The couple split in April 2010.

The argument is kid was born into that lifestyle and should be maintained in that life style. Which I agree.

It's also to avoid the rich parent having some sort of ****ed up advantage per say over how one parent can't effort **** but gets the silver spoon with the other.

I'm more disturbed she is bitching about 16k a month. Just imdb her and she has a tv series and she also has 4 more movies slated. And assuming she will get some more work somewhere it's kinda absurd it adds up to 2.3 mil (3 mil if it's a college aged state). Which is a **** ton of money to all of us miscers here yes. But considering she makes 14 million a movie she really should just stroke a total and move on.

No, she just moved to France (with her new French husband) and tried to take the kid with her; the father objected and a judge agreed with him that she couldn't just steal the goddamned kid and fly off to France without the father's consent. As such, he has custody in LA,while she lives in France most of the time.

How can anyone justify that a child needs $16 000 to be raised. Lets just take out the equation here that its a female or male paying for the child.

There should be a cap of 400-500/month for child support.
