Yeah. The length of the knurling is not the same from each side of the plates. I had always used the distance from the end of the knurling as my gauge for grip. As it turns out, there is about three more inches of knurling on one side. I thought I was just a whole lot weaker on the right side. My left hand has been three inches closer to the right side than my right has been to the left.
I'm not very observant.
I'm going into a break - hopefully only a week - as I'm getting a vasectomy tomorrow. Really looking forward to see what I can do if I USE THE BARBELL PROPERLY!!!

Just curious how you know that the bar has always been pointing the same direction? Unless you have the bar always pointing the same way, your weak arm would have to change from time to time.

I call bulls#it. Three inches is a hell of a lot,and as mentioned you ALWAYS used the bar the same way if you never noticed.
Guarantee anyone lifting any amount of weight with their grip three inches off to one side would notice it instantly.
Not to mention it would NEVER get past quality control.
