Arnold , frank Zane , Robby Robinson all of them looked better than Phil Heath , jay cutler , Ronny Coleman . It's not even close and it's not my opinion. Is 99.9999% of humans that lift weights & like bodybuilding opinions. What the hell is wrong with these guys today?? Bigger isn't better and blocky mid sections sticking out even the size of the arms shoulder back etc who cares. Man I look at generation Iron then pumping Iron even watch a movie like Commando and Arnold just looks so much better and not jut arnold all the top guys in the 70s. Hell some guys at my gym look better than all the top pros that compete in Mr O. I know it has nothin to do with health but I'm just talking the way they look? Why go through all that to look that way? If I was going to take steroids I would use small amounts and I know what a good look is and walking around with arms and legs touching each other wobbling around is awful looking. I guess some people think it looks good but man it's awful and I LOVE muscle and bodybuilding it just sucks that guys have to get that big look that fake look like tree stumps in order to make it to the top.

When did you do a survey ? You are welcome to come to Asia and do survey in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and if you survive , then please consider surveying those who lift, out of 2.5 billion + people of China and India and then after about 2-3 life cycles and rebirths you might get a good answer and make a new n good thread. Namaste. Stay safe and alive

Arnold and Zane look so overmuscular and gross. Why can't pros go back to looking like this?
We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.

The best bodybuilding era was the 1990s. It had everything, from massthetics (Levrone, Ray, Wheeler etc) to full blown size freaks (Ronnie, Gunter, Dillet etc).
Not even close. And most bodybuilders at Arnold's era weren't aesthetic IMO. Most of them had small legs, overpowering chest with lacking delts and questionable conditioning. Only exception would be the likes of Sergio Oliva, Nubret and the likes.

10-14-2014, 07:49 PM #21Im not going by vids and pics. Ive been to the Arnold and the O 90s- now. The conditioning is not as good. Fact. Have you ever been to the O Bart. If not you should. Its worth it. Even coming from all the way over there.
I'd put this year's Olympia against any 90s Olympia. You have to go down all the way Big Ramy to find someone who really messed up his conditioning (Phil wasn't off, guys. Let's just admit it). We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.
